I was in store yesterday and spotted that on the perfumes they are offering bounus clubcard points ranging from 400-500

Best deal i saw was for £8, Lanvin Oxygen 30ml, and this gets you 500 points, which means in deals this is worth £20, less your £8 means you are £12 up !

Lots of other fragrances were avaliable including paris hilton, britney spears and jasper conran

Even better if you have clubcard vouchers the ones you get each quarter you can double them up at tesco instore for fragrance vouchers.
For example if you double up £20 of clubcard vouchers for £40 you can buy 5 lots of £8 perfume and get back 2500 points.
The £20 clubcard voucher you doubled up only cost 2000 points originally so you get back extra 500 points and 5 bottles of perfume/aftershave for nil spend.

Been to my Tesco....Fragrances listed are NOT from £8 at all. Between £14 - £25. So I think it's store specific, call before making a long trip.

BTW: This was Cardiff Western Ave

I've noticed a lot of cross posting as well...and it would be nice, if they are taken from another site (MSE), that the poster would acknowledge it

I bought 8 bottles of oxygene in blue packaging from behind the pharmacy at Cardiff Western Avenue last night around 7ish after they had just had a false fire alarm. It was £8 a bottle I bought 8 bottles and used double up vouchers, there was still at least 10 bottles on the shelf then.

They were on bottom shelf far left next to benetton hot.

NO WAY!!!!

I was there at 8:00am this morning. The Pharmacy was shut so I took the only two bottles of Oxygene to the self scan and they went through at £13 odd. I didn't bother with then at that price though. Wonder why!! I'm in work now so I can't get back there. Bum, Bum, Bum I'm saving the points for a family holiday so REALLY wanted this.

Ah that explains it, they are behind the counter, I bought oxygene homme lanvin barcode is : 5051790945670 and its 30ml.

Can you phone and ask them to put some by for you.

None in the Newport extra just off cardiff rd by the way.

just got back from tesco home store in bromborough,(wirral) got 2 bottles of aftershave for my lads at £8 each. GF got some perfume Elizabeth Arden perfume (£15) total of 1431 points! :w00t:
thanks OP, heat and rep from me, cheers.:friends:
#13
Which section do they normally stock these in? I looked yesterday in the deodorants section and clothes section - couldn't find them.
#14
Sometimes they are behind the pharmacy counter.
#15
Had a look at 2 Tescos...they don't stock any of these points based perfumes. Shame!

Don't fall into this trap!!! Not many deals that are actually worth 4x the value of your points!

eg. Cineworld ticket is 300 points. 300x 4 = £12 but an adult ticket is actually approx £8. So thats only really 3x the value.

So.......always remember that points in REAL value are actually only worth around 3x the points value...not 4x as Tesco advertise. Very misleading.

I agree as I found out that I paid £47 for RAC to get a comprehensive breakdown cover and it actually had been very difficult for me to get £47 in vouchers!:?

No £8 perfume in Kingston Park....had a Paris Hilton one for £10 and 400 points but I just couldn't bring myself to buy a PH perfume!

I do agree with you, but using Cineworld as an example perhaps wasn't the best option, as their prices are region specific. I'm expecting someone from London to say that the same cinema ticket costs them twice as much for the pleasure of living inside the M25...:-D

Many of the deals you can get two for one or half price vouchers for (esp. restaurants), or you don't get the gift for magazine subscriptions, etc. So I agree they are not 4x, often 2x-3x at best. This deal has been on MSE for a couple of days, and as noted earlier in the thread, was high on on Martin Lewis' email this morning, so chances are most have gone by now anyway.

I think £8.20 is at the top end of prices within the M25...with the exception of the London West End cinemas which are excluded from the Clubcard deals anyway.
#22
I went into tescos cardiff and didnt see Lanvin Oxygen 30Ml for £8 it was much more - if you go to the pharmacy are they £8?

im not even in the m25 but my local odean think they deserve £8.30 for a 'standard' ticket now. Screw that!

Assuming you were to go with a partner, for less money you can instead get a whole months unlimited subscription to love film and watch LOADS of films.

I joined them and we're watching 3-4 films each week. Yeah, of course they're not 'the latest' films as such, but at least this way you can order by review and filter out the crud. Plus, if its cack you dont feel robbed!

Lots of £8 Cold eau de in tesco chelmsford princes road this morn. Call up first to check though at the pharmacy. Assistant helpful too
#25
There are 2 Lanvin Oxygen 30ml
ones got an extra e in the name
the one behind the pharmacy counter seems to be the £8 one
the other is £13 odd
#26
also if you double up your vouchers on them you get 500 points for every 400 points spent so you don't loose anything at all (regardless of the points "real" value)
#27
IMHO, if spent wisely the vouchers are worth 4 x Value (or pretty close too)
you can grab a cosmos holiday brochure and find somewhere that's got good "operator discounts" (not shop discounts) and pay in vouchers for a real bargain
we wen't to tenereffe (2 adults, 2 kids, 1 week, 3* selected from the book) for £602 (£150 vouchers) be pretty hard pushed to beat £600 cash (believe me I checked!!!)
