Defend the Earth... by force!

Cracking price for a really fun game - the trade-in price at Game is currently £12 too, so not much to lose by giving it a try.

EDF! EDF! EDF!

------------------
Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders from Planet Space sends the player into high-flying, explosive battles against giant monsters with a classic kaiju/b-movie aesthetic! Praised as the 'best game in the series',

Invaders from Planet Space takes the battle online with up to four player co-op and the addition of the unique Air Raider class! Call in huge air strikes or mount the offensive in heavily armoured vehicles for a new way to squash the hordes of alien bugs!

-Three unique classes: ranger, pale wing, and the all-new air raider!
-Take the fight online with three friends in co-op action!
-Utilise hundreds of weapons, gadgets, and vehicles, from rifles and grenades to giant mecha with rocket-powered fists!
-Stockpile weapons in your base then customise your load-out for the next mission!
-Fight through nearly 80 unique missions in single player or online coop!
-Call in huge airstrikes or command armoured vehicles like tanks and troop transport!

If it wasn't for the fact that I have too much other stuff to play, I'd be all over this...

Bit repetitive to play lots of levels at once, but its's brilliant for quick bursts. Gotta love that bonkers Japanese gameplay.

Are these different levels and story to 4.1? Only asking as 4.1 was a remake of the one on the 360. Spent 40 hours just completing all 89 missions as a ranger on Normal on 4.1 - only 15 more playthroughs to do....

Yeah, this is a remake of Global Defence Force on PS2.

EDF 1 - Monster Attack
EDF 2 - Global Defence Force
EDF 3 - Earth Defense Force 2017
EDF 4 - Earth Defense Force 2025

didn't he review number 4 though?
I'm a bit confused,is 4 on Vita too? and is it a complete different game compared to this one or just an update? (like sports games etc that update with minimal changes)..never played any EDF game but interested to try them preferably on Vita first.

That video really made me laugh. He got a like and a subscribe and Base got an order (even though it has gone up a whole pound). If I get bored of it, I can either A) look at the box art B) Shout EDF repeatedly or C) KILL IT WITH FIRE!

It's only the US cover art that is reversible.
