Good luck everyone. I went to buy some yesterday and my Asda didn't even have any eggs left, neither had our local Sainsburys. Come back Woolworths!!!!

This has come as a complete shock to me. Easter eggs half price after Easter. Well I never.

Good luck if u can find any

As creme eggs were back to 44p yesterday, does that mean they'll be 22p on Monday?
i.e. a 10% increase on last week's price?

i went to our asda store on Saturday and they had sold out all eggs since Thursday, even the display where the eggs were was gone. The asda is one of the superstore sized ones so as someone else said best of luck finding any.

In fact all the stores that i tried within about a 1mile radius had no eggs left on Saturday. I'm not good at getting stuff in advance but was stunned to discover the lack of eggs on Saturday. My memory isnt so good either but i'm sure it wasn't as bad last year.

Because Woolies shut down the supermarkets bought woolies supply - thats why there was the price war.

Woolies had it's time and in this day and age was absolutely useless.

Now the occasion's been and gone, the only point in having an easter egg is the chocolate. Weight for weight even at half price, eggs are still more expensive than just buying normally-packaged chocolate. Quick everyone! Rush to buy the slightly-more-expensive-but-not-as-expensive-as-it-was chocolate!

Cold.

it wasn't bad last year,

i think woolies helped alot. they had tons of offer's on too.

Anyone know if they will open at the normal hour tomorrow? 8am on Mondays for my store. Or will it be later being a bank holiday? Thanks.

Will probably be later. 9am or possibly 10am. The Sainsburys I work in normally opens at 7.30am and we're opening at 9am and the local tesco opens at 9am as well and they normally open at 6am on a Monday.
