Yikes, yeah unfortunately for a bag designed for carry on luggage - with all the restrictions - thats far too much weight to lose straight off the bat :(

You realise most maximum size carry-on bags are 3kg or more? I use a Tripp superlite for business every week and that weighs 2.7kg and I think that's the lightest one Tripp make!

Also, don't assume your budget airline has tough restrictions. Easyjet always check the size of the bag but their own policy is that any weight is acceptable as long as you can lift it into the overhead bin yourself.

I bought a solid style case, 4 wheels & a pull out handle last year. Empty it weights 0.8kg and I thought THAT was too heavy !

Guess I'm actually pretty lucky overall.

I've been looking for a cabin luggage during the last few days and the two I have short listed are both over 3kg empty and seem to be in line with the other cabin luggage weight.

Billco, can you please tell me what's the name of the 4 wheeled luggage that only weigh 0.8kg.

I'll certainly have a look when I get home, they are packed and ready to go for my holiday on saturday.

They were some cheapo brand I think, bought them from a little shop in the market that used to sell nothing but bags/cases.

He's closed down now tho :(
