Read the reviews before you book.

Who can write a meaningful review before the hotel has opened? A time lord?

Premier Inn Hub hotels also have windowless rooms, but who cares when you're asleep anyway and it's cheap. Easy rooms also lack tv's and tea making facilities but they are irrelevant too if it's just an overnight sleep you want. I'm booked at the Barbican Easy in Feb, central London for £23 - I'd sleep on a floor at that price.

Britannia Sacha's Hotel on Tib Street in Manchester also has windowless rooms. At least they did back in the 1990's.

It's a dump of a hotel nowadays - I can't understand how they're surviving.

I didn't even know you would be allowed to let rooms without a window. What if there was a fire in the corridor, how would you or fire service get you out?

I stayed in an EasyHotel in London without a window, it was a bit strange being absolutely pitch dark at night but the size was fine, no different to any other budget hotel room. You get a bed, a toilet, shower and wash basin and that's it. Get what you pay for really, I was happy with it just as a place to sleep.

On the positive side, if there were a fire, it would save you the dilemma of deciding if you jump out of the window to certain death, or stay and get incinerated.

Same problem I suppose as a high-rise hotel where the windows don't open and are a lot higher than a fire appliance can reach.

But something to double check here are the T&C's regarding price increases, I've booked cheap deals before for event accommodation (not in Manchester) only to have the price doubled 'take it or leave it' as the event approaches and other accommodation is then fully booked.

What about if you're in a Corridor, but there's a fire in a Bedroom with a Window?

A room without a window, aka a cupboard.

Perfect for Harry Potter fans.

Cheap enough, and probably suit the younger end who can sleep through anything, including next doors shenanigans ;-) Heated

I stayed in one of these in Glasgow, it's owned by easyJet so imagine an airliner type cabin? Everything was orange and grey and the bathroom was a similar size cubicle to an onboard toilet with the shower over the toilet. They charged a fiver for a remote. Literally the room was the size of the bed with a small side bit that led to the bathroom. I wouldn't stay again as it was so claustrophobic and odd.

What were you expecting? a view of the Syndey Opera House, the hanging gardens of Babylon.

They have one in Croydon in London check the reviews and pictures so you know what you a getting.
Room has a bed. No other furniture. No locker, chair. table. wardrobe or shelf for your phone. one socket so bring an adapter if you need charge another phone.
It's just a bed. Which might be all you need. There is no restaurant or snack machine so get your snacks in advance. You cannot phone reception. Has a bit of a seedy feel to it but at the price I guess you wilt get those too.
