Hopefully that can be changed to 999 BUT the last bit I doubt can be changed, unless you dont mind adding a few days later.

Hopefully it CAN'T be changed to 999, or you'll be in trouble! The law in the country forbids you to program 999 into such a system as far as I know!
#3
I'm almost 100% sure it does not matter, you can use, 999, 112 or 911

I've been corrected, 911 only works on some operators in the UK not all.

999 and 112 continue to be available on all UK land-telephones and mobile (different number for minicom/textphone)

Whys that ? i got conned in my old house having a so called expert install a wired up alarm. This time around i bought a yale wireless full kit it was so easy to install and works brilliant the only downside is that i have to change the batteries every few years.

Hot - But I would guess although they say delivery is free - you could get hammered for tax by customs unless the receipt shows the value less than 18 quid for the product itself.

Seriously, could you recommend a system or installer to me? I want to alarm my little studio flat but I'm totally confused about what's best. I live in Birmingham - any ideas on what to look out for?

yeah, recommendation from expert please?

Hi,
I brought one of these a few weeks ago, I did put a post on HDUK but can't seem to find my post anymore, not unless this post is a duplicate.
Bascially though I am unable to get the alarm system to work with my house phone, has anyone else in the UK managed to get this working?
I have 2 phone sockets and when the alarm goes off I have checked if there is any data getting sent through my phone line using the other phone receiver but there is nothing, just dial tone.
Am I doing something wrong?
Also about HD does anyone know how to search quickly for replies to posts that I put on here? it took me ages to find this post to see if anyone had replied.
Thanks
