optical not listed in specs so its misleading alright plus it seems this was previously selling for £20 (review) think i will pass, search goes on for a companion for my halo 3 edition 360 :)

Yup - no optical

Have a look at:

Also - there are the connectors at the back

If your on a tight budget, or a student ,or just want a simple but nothing flashy 5.1 setup for a computer or TV, then these will do tbh.

i'm in the same position as yourself and i just cant being myslef to spend near £200 on a Logitech Z-5500 just to plug all my kit into it (optical + phono setup) ok its an awesome piece of kit, but way overthe top for my needs.

Problem is only really the now discountined Z-5400 was the next option but even that was £130 - and i havent found anything with optical in + phono, oh well still keeping an eye out.

Rubbish sound quality.

You'd be FAR better off spending more and getting something like the Aego M.
#12
Check out the Roth audioblob at £49, they're twice the price and only 2.1, but leagues better than anything else in the price bracket.
#13
Perfect if you want/need a smaller sound for your PC etc. I would have a look instore ASDA if you can as they have similar units.
#14
Avoid these ****** speakers. You can get quality Logitech speakers on eBay at this price.

Nope, Creative or Logitech.

I've got Altec Lansing on my other PC (2.1), and they lasted a year and few months and started playing up..

I have to say the Logitech Z5400s at £130 are a great buy for anyone on a tight budget - 2 optical ins, and a coax in, plus PC input and ipod. Sound quality is good to, unless your used to £12,000 Kefs, these will be fine.
#19
this is not a good deal. these speakers are totaly SHI* no-one should buy em. had these model and NO BASS tinny sound even when re-proccesed throught an e-blaster sound card and SRS external EQ they were still horrid

Hehe - its suprising how many people watch the Gadget Show. I wasnt comparing to them Im just saying audiophiles will look in horror at people paying £130 for a 5.1 system, yet for the masses its perfectly acceptable :)
