Bought one of these, same brand different model, in a charity shop for £1.95. Mine has Just one video channel (composite or S-Video) and stereo audio inputs, which is probably better for the stated purpose of capturing old videotapes. This one seems to be security camera oriented, with 4 video channels.

I bought one of these on ebay but didnt have a clue how to get it to work or what leads I needed. I emailed the supplier and they could not help so the device has been at home and never used it.

Does anyone know how to get it to work?

I bought one of these a while back and it turned out to be a cheap chinese fake (i suppose the price gave it away). Windows 7 support was poor if not lacking (you had to use effectively a hacked driver which was not even digitally signed with no x64 support), and the audio did not work properly. I looked into it more and found many threads also complaining of issues including audio issues, with one person advising he had opened it up, and it the components for the audio where missing!!)

I take it you have not tried running the CD that comes with it?

As for leads, I am guessing that your VHS player doesn't have composite video outputs, so you would need one of THESE. Then you just connect with ordinary RCA plug audio leads.

I did run the software via a website link, It didnt come with a cd but I didnt understand how you connect this to a video recorder and the pc. It didnt come with the necessary cables.
