Voted hot. I am going to Edinburgh in January for a friend's wedding in the ghillie dhu. Thank you :)
Take a good credit card, got charged £7.20 for a pint of Innis Gunn recently.
Innis and gunn beer kitchens are a rip off.Weatherspoons sell their lager for £3.20.
We stayed in a Travelodge in January last year on Princes' Street - 3 nights without breakfast came to about £80 with a discount voucher.

Edinburgh is lovely but beware it's very cold and we had snow. If you get a chance go up Arthur's Seat and the Castle both are lovely.

I don't understand some of the comments to be honest. It's £20. It's not going to be luxury hotel quality.
But for somewhere to crash after a night out.... You couldn't even get a hostel for £20 and definitely not one bang in the centre of Edinburgh.
And anyone who pays to stay in a hotel and then spends the time watching TV or surfing the internet is bonkers in my mind anyway. If you need to check things online go and buy yourself a coffee at one of the many coffee shops.
You can get a hostel just off the high street for £12. I don't know if a hotel and hostel are comparable though.
id personally prefer the small hotel room and pay the extra but others might see it differently.

So would I. Just pointing out that hostels are available at similar prices/cheaper.
spam as far as i am concerned. should have just added this hotel to you original post............

Easyhotels are the closest thing you can get to an japanese pod hotel really...

And honestly, it does serve a purpose on the market, since for little more (depending the location) than a hostel you can sleep in a private (albeit tiny) room with your own toilet.

I've stayed at this hotel before and wouldn't ever stay again. No windows, no furniture (not even a side table to rest your phone on at night) and a bathroom where you could use the loo, brush your teeth and have a shower without moving an inch. Appreciate it's cheap, but if you can afford more then please spend it as this provides a terrible nights sleep.

Also, it's £3 for the remote control per night!

I can't tell if that is a joke or not. I get how Easy jet make you pay to pick a seat on top of the air fare. Is this a sideways dig at that or are you actually being serious?

Sadly not a joke. I understand for some this will be better than their existing options, but for many who could afford to spend a little more then my recommendation would be to do so. The £3 fee for a remote control (without it you can't even turn the tv on to use the buttons on the set) is just an example of the cost of extras you'd expect as standard elsewhere. Of course you're under no obligation to spend any extra, but I'm just pointing out that many things people might expect to be included in the price are not so.
Homestay cheaper than airbnb , the cleaning fees and admin fees on top rip you off
I would check out airbnb as well if you just want a cheap place to stay.

You have to pay extra for a tv remote, how petty. Given it's winter, I suspect it's worth checking travelodge, premier inn and so on as they'll probably have specials too.
Oh, also matchbox style rooms, no desks, just 2 coat hangers, no wardrobe, bathroom is like a little box. My GF hated it in Paddington

You sure are fond of easyhotel there boyaloud - all the deals you've posted in the last three years are advertising easyhotel's standard (not anything special) prices (_;)

I don't work for them and never have.. They're not always so cheap especially. In central london
Stayed there once for couple of nights.

Not the best even at £19. Thin walls. Rowdy guests. Noisy plumbing
Lol shame on you boyaloud if you work for easyjet ..your rooms are like sleeping in a dolls house X)

Cheaper than a taxi home at Hogmanay. Heat added.

Not where I live lol, paid £24 to go 18 miles at 4am New Years Day in taxi with a friend though to be fair that was a cheap local cab firm not one of the big names.

If thats you in your pic you can share my taxi home lol ;)

You have to pay for cleaning your room??

"Rooms are cleaned prior to arrival but if you require additional room cleaning throughout your stay this would need to be purchased. This can be bought online."
Not saying it's a good hotel - but if your going up the big smoke for a Xmas booze up if fits the bill extremely well. Just waiting for them mega train dates to be released and I may be laughing...
Nice find hot
Read the reviews on tripadvisor, this is very cheap, but it's tiny.

Room cleaning £5. Does that mean they don't clean the room before you stay unless you pay them? If so then surely the room could have gone months without a clean. Disgusting.
Don't be daft!

Honestly for 9 quid, its a steal, cheaper than a taxi home.

If I stayed within a taxi journey of this hotel I would rather get the taxi home (assuming taxi was £15 or so).
Mate, you posted a deal for a night at a well known brothel in Glasgow, and you're going on about this lol

Stayed in the Victoria one before. Great if you literally just need a bed for the night but you wouldn't want to spend any time really in the room. The double bed had walls on two sides and about a yard on the other two. "Bathroom" is more like a shower cubicle with a toilet and sink fitted inside.

I would use it again though as we dropped our bags off, went out, rolled in, slept and then checked out.
If you insist on booking with them, do not book the one at old street/barbican. Stayed there a few months ago - it could not meet our basic NEED of AIR - windowless room without a working air conditioner - we nearly suffocated in our sleep

I'd never heard of EasyHotel before so checked on TripAdvisor and you can guess what came back. The "Wow Jet Setter Central" review is very entertaining. REVIEW

You're very easily entertained! ;)

I stayed in the Victoria one last year when I went for a weekend at the Olympics, it was about £25 for one night and was absolutely fine for what I needed it for. Would happily stay at one again as a single traveller for one night.
I stayed in the London Tate Modern Premier Inn on Jan 9th. I paid £39.
