Lets hope it doesn't freeze up like the last time they did this sort of offer, can't believe I missed a room for a tenner!

"in London" or "in South" in title maybe....

#4
Are all the ingredients free range, organic and have been tucked in at night......? If not vote COLD !!!
#5
I'll never go to their website again after the buddy tickets debacle. Absolute waste of time

don't you already get our council tax??? ;-)

Voted cold I'm afraid. Very limited numbers of these deals and their recent 10 quid hotel room offer was an absolute joke.

When it first launched, lastminute.com was a really innovative website, but has been pants for years now. This is just another cheap attempt to get traffic to their site.

Fat chance of getting one of these, its cold and thats not the food.

Like their name, the website designers think of Last Minute fixes and find it fails in the end. No £10 Hotel Room, no 10p Theatre tickets - and for sure - no £1 Eating Out (they're on par with Hoxton Hotel). The con is that they also try to blag you into the 2 for £10 (similar to theatre tickets) - when most of us can eat for 1/4 price using Tesco Clubcard vouchers at the best restaurants in UK.

I will try - and no doubt miserably fail. Would be nice if some genuine users (not ones registered in Oct 2008!) could report their sucesses

Any idea of the dates you can have the meal?

Anyone able to post a link to where you can actually book the meals?
#15
I dont think these restaurants are good anyway....Especially the waste of space pizza restaurant called Fire & Stone in covent garden. A tourist hang about who go in because they get taken in by the high ceiling..Rest....is worthless to mention...includes food/service. Most rubbish Pizza's I have ever had the displeasure of tasting..

Now for a quid a pizza...I shall recommend that to our fellow scots who would enjoy this deal ;)

only kidding and I dont mean any offence. Voted mildly hot.

Ditto. banner is not going clickable.

Anyone who tried to get a £10 hotel room during a similar lastminute offer will know that getting one of these offers is a bit hit and miss. I managed to get a £10 hotel room, but it took a lot of patience. Just keep on refreshing the webpage and hopefully at some point the link will start working - that's what seemed to happen during the hotels promotion. It's as if someone at lastminute.com suddenly remembers to flick the switch or something.

Have to agree. When Martha Lane Fox and Brent Hoberman were running it really offered something different. However the format has been copied and bettered by otheres now and its simply failed to keep up.

I know someone who works there and the management is a joke. The site falls over everyday and nothing is done to fix it. Simply patch it up each time.

Wont vote cold as great for those who can get it but think we all know lastminute will collapse at 10am tommorow!

Hmm, the banner finally went clickable, and I managed to bag a meal for 2 at the Tutton's in London.
I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by how fast the site was. From clicking on the banner to payment, it took under a minute and every page was responsive. The only gripe I have is that the banner didn't become clickable right at 10am, but I managed to get my booking in for a date next week that I really wanted, so no complaints there!

All seems to be sold out now for London? I did manage to click on a link and get in, and tried all of the London restaurants and get the message "We are sorry, this product has sold out".
#26
I realise this is now probably sold out (I would like Pompey).

Any chance of a link from anyone who has managed to click the banner please?

Sold out at Bluewater

Absolute pile of poo.

Was there ready with mental note of dates I wanted (easy as 1/2 term approaching) and the restaurants (anywhere as can travel in hols, though London preferred) at 9.58am.

Link did not appear till 10.04am - I tried opening new pages, using HUKD link and opening new browser for LM.Com and linking myself - and used F5 - nothing happened for 240 seconds!

Suddenly link appeared - I knew pretty much all deals would be gone by then, so chose unpopular Wednesday in October - and about 10 more subsequent dates - for ALL 7 RESTAURANTS - all sold out. Last check was at 10.09am (yes we have a fast Leased Line here) - Garbage.

Nothing personal on the OP, as the report was well intended, but I am increasing finding that I am wasting my life on sites like this for no benefit - NO MORE!! :x

Wandsworth road restaurant on the list had 1PM tables' only..No Dinner option..

Total Rubbish....They probably feed left overs for a £1

Good luck to all who make it to tables.. ;)

I think you must have been to a different restaurant, as the Fire & Stone i know and love in Covent Garden does amazing pizza, at a great price - go on a sunday and get a pizza and a drink for £6, which doesnt make this £1 deal all that hot to be honest.

I guess if you're a Domino's/Pizza Hut fan then these pizzas arent gonna be quite what you're expecting...

I just logged on to the site at 10:05, clicked on Bluewater and got the date I wanted instantly and booked it up, no problems at all. Considering I promised to take my girlfriend to Bluewater on the day and now have a main course meal for £1 each, happy days. Won't be getting myself a drink or anything there as that will probably be the rip off! Taking a bottle in with me haha.

Happy Days!
#34
How many of you got a £1 meal then looks like only the 1 ?
#35
Had my meal today, they didn't seem to pleased with the deal! Seemed like the management was unaware that the deal was on! We were the only ones who turned up it seemed, didn't see anyone else having one of the menu meals or asking about the £1 offer and we were there from 1-1:30 so either they only sold VERY limited amounts per sitting or many booked it due to it being cheap and didn't turn up. Did us good anyway, £1 each and a good portion! Manager didn't enjoy giving us the bill for £3,90 for 2 drinks
