I've been researching dehumdifiers this week and it was a toss-up between this one and a De Longhi on offer at Amazon....this deal (esp with free delivery) tipped the balance.

Nice spot

Cheers!

I bought mine direct from the manufacturer for £20 more as they offered a 5 Year Warranty and free delivery as well.

Yes me too, it's a great at it's job, they do go wrong though which is why I was happy to pay a bit more for the warranty and get it direct from the manufacturer.

Are these expensive to run ?

To run the dehumidifier for a month, 8 hours a day will cost 72 KWH X 7pence/KWH unit electricity charge = £5.04
Taken from another forum HERE, it is post #10 down by sdd7677.

My last Dehumidifier lasted about 10 years and you will be amazed with how much water these things pull out of the air, well worth the money.

This one in this deal is ideal for up to a 4 bedroom house, I just leave mine in the upstairs landing and leave all the doors open so it can do it's job.

Mine has already been shipped by ebacdirect.com via CityLink, should be here tomorrow they say.
Now that's what I call fast service.

Arrived this morning, already up and running.

Just out of interest if you do buy direct from the manufacturer Ebac like I did they say they automatically register you with the 5 year warranty when they ship the item to you, so ignore the registration leaflet in the box.
Also if you would like a certificate of your 5 year warranty then find the 9 digit serial number on your unit (inside next to the water container under the barcode), then either email them or give them a ring letting them know serial number and they will post it off to you.

Hi,
I'm thinking about getting one of these. How do you find it now that you've had it a while?

I can't fault it, it does the job very well.

I switch it off during the night and have it on all day, needs emptying about once a week.

I think it's a lot better than my previous one which I had for about 10 years.

Looks like the FREE 5 years warranty is now over, you just get the standard 1 year one now and have to pay up to £50 extra for 5 years cover.
I would not bother to pay extra for it though, but was nice as a freebie when I ordered mine.
#13
Thanks. How noisy is it when it's on?

It's not bad, you will know it's on, but it's not like it's really loud, we have our placed in the upstairs corridor so you only really notice it when you pass it.

Thanks Batman2. Rep added for you

No probs, glad to help.

Per the site the 5 years cover is still available on this product.
