Gallery pics became free for ever recently on eBay.com in the US. Why do we always get ripped off here?
#5
Not bad might as well list my items now then.

Will go nicely with my £25 off a £75 spend of ebay!!!!!!!

Hot.

Every little helps!

Just listed a load of stuff last night but have some more to list.
#14
Gallery (first picture) is free on many foreign Ebay sites.
#15
Thanks for that, have a few items I need to "dispose" of.
#16
Thanks. voted Hot!!
#17
Shoot.

It wont let you freely revise your ongoing listing to add the gallery option.

It says to make these changes costs the 15p.

So its only for new listings.
#18
voted hot thanks, listed lots of stuff when it was free listing weekend, but used the gallery option, so this will be about the same price again:thumbsup:
#19
Voted hot on the condition that you don't have to rely on Paypal for your transactions.
#20
Thank you, voted hot. Will have to get a move on and list some stuff.

it should be free anyway...money grabbing gits!

VOTED COLDDDDDDDD!!!!!

You do not get Full visibility with this promotion....even if you don't go gallery....2 weeks of less visibility !!

ANOTHER CASE OF EBAY SPIN

I never bother with galleries as a seller. I never pay for ebay's upgrades and do not belive the hype that they improve sales as much as greedbay claim

And as a buyer I buy depending on price.

Ebay and paypal fees are enough of a rip off without their rip off 'upgrades'.
#24
Since there is no competition for Ebay, they can do whatever they want. Most buyers buy items depending on price. I buy depending on price.
Gallery is free on many non UK Ebay sites. Rip off.
#25
Dont forget as this is a 'Promotion' items will not be visible outside the UK, even if you tick the option, they will only be shown and visible on ebay.co.uk ONLY! so you will lose the vast majority of bidders.

are you sure? ffs. is there a way of paying for gallery and getting normal visibility?

You can host as many pictures as you want on Photobucket and add them to your auction for free. Why are people still paying eBay to host images - madness!
#28
its only 15p
#29
1) theres no other way to get pictures into the search results listing

2) if you run a lot of auctions for small items this adds up to a LOT of money. it's a significant part of the listing fee.

btw, paypal is also a rip off here - their starting rate is 3.4%, elsewhere is 2.9%. here the first volume level up is 2.9%!

I have never been able to work this out. Can someone please explain (or point me in the direction of a post that explains) how to cross reference to photos on photobucket, auctiva or similar please. Thanks very much.

I'm never sure how to use this site correctly, but could you tell us how to take advantage of Photobucket? Many HUKD users are saying they don't like having to pay when other countries are not charged for using the gallery option - I AGREE :x
Thanks

Hi, does the free gallery picture promotion end tonight at midnight or does it include Monday the 31st - sorry i couldn't find the T&C's on ebay.

And i just wanted to check, as I don't feel to well today, so I thought i would list some items tommorrow, obviously if the promotion ends tonight - I will have to change my plans.

Thank-you in advance
