Good info.
Just for interest, how many people here would seriously consider buying a car off ebay?
I don't think I'd risk it personally.
#3
Haven't sold a car on ebay what are the fees ? not the same as other listings are they as this would kill the sale price.

Voted Cold.

Would be a good deal if it was the classified ad that was half price, that's currently £12.99 per ad. Whereas this deal is Auction Style or Buy it now and is normally £8 so half price at £4 on the 7th-8th march, however the ebay seller fees for this type are as follows:

Final Selling Price (Final Value Fee)

£0.01 - £1,999.99 (£20.00)

£2,000.00 - £3,499.99 (1%)

£3,500.00 and above (£35.00)

Classified Ad (No Final Value Fee applies)

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - if you're selling a car, don't list it during a half price listing event...

Say there are 30 potential bidders for your Astra, and there are 4 similar cars out there during a normal listing time, each gets bidded, everyone is happy. Imagine then the same 30 bidders looking for an Astra you're selling, but this time there are twice as many similar cars out there due to a half price listing event. Your car will not get bidded up as high as those bidders will be spread over the extra cars.

It's simple supply and demand - the more supply, the less demand.

For £4 is it worth losing a potential few hundred quid??
