Ebico are very good for my gas, being with them for more than 2 years. No independent gas transporter fee, saves around £40 a year. Electricity isn't the cheapest in the midlands, i can get a a cheaper rate from npower. £15 voucher on refer a friend on dual fuel.
Been with Ebico for 4 years, we are low users for gas and elec, and I do compare every year to make sure it's still cheapest around for us, and it is :)
I was with Ebico a few years ago but gradually each year they put their prices up and eventually when I did a comparison they became as expensive as the big boys.

With regard to Standing Charges I have just applied to switch to the N Power Feb 2017 fix tariff and there is no standing charge for the electricity part of the tariff.
Standing charge by law - that's all B.S. there is no such law.

I joined First Utility last March and it's the worse move I have ever taken. Customer service is atrocious. They haven't even supplied my previous supplier my final reading yet !!! Stay well clear of these cowboys. OVO energy look after their customers much better but just forget First Utility or join them at your peril.

Time for everyone to leaveeeeeeeeeeeee the big six....way better deals out there now... not just piddlie one offs ;)
With them for years, left when sse put their prices first of the big 6.join energy club at moneysavingexpert for lowest price suitable for you.
Ebico is misleading people. It's actually nasty SSE is dealing with your account
I'm with Flow Energy and only pay 12p per kWh, there is a 9p per day standing charge but it would still work out cheaper than Ebico. I've been with a few energy companies over the past 10 years and Flow are by far the best (I don't work for them honest).

Used to be cheap for low usage, moved from them two years ago, saved a packet - Daligas for gas and Ovo for electricity... Shop around don't believe for a sec that dual fuel offers are most competitive :)

Low Gas user can save more than £100 on standing charge by switching to Ebico/EquiGas

Please note, this is for people with low gas usage. My fixed energy deals coming up for renew. I've noticed that OFGEM now forces nearly all energy suppliers to include standing charge on all thei…

I'm going to switch to Ebico in the next few days - if an existing Ebico customer would like to 'refer a friend' and claim £15 for my switch, I am more than happy to be 'friends' - https://www.ebico.org.uk/tell-a-friend

Let me know if you're out there, friend... :)
As of Monday 24th March due to the Government green cuts on Fuel 'info from phone call with abico today' was told KWH price for and includes vat Gas is= 5.41 Elec=17.29
most are or have stopped the dual fuel discount 'info according to EDF' who have now ended Dual fuel discount for me and have also sent a letter to confirm it.
Just a big fat rip-off as per from all the energy suppliers 'and especially ofgem', all we really need is a kwh price and the rest is to mislead and confuse us. Kwh price only would start a price war 'good for us bad for them' so it will never happen !! and that's a shame. It's also shame on Ofgem and the Government for not making it happen

Energy bills still leave consumers confused despite Ofgem reforms
Survey by Which? finds almost two-thirds of consumers unable to work out cheapest deal from big six power companies

Daligas charges All kWh 3.3075pper kWh x 9000 = £297.67 Plus standing charge Standing charge is 19.1594p Day X 365 = £69.93Total = £ £367.60So compared to EDF would be £110.17 cheaper.I have switched from Scottish Power as my online tariff is coming to an end and all I need now is to find cheap Electric.Might swap to Isupplyenergy they charge:-Product Name: iFix 201504Energy Plan Start Date: 01 May 2014Energy Plan End Date: 30 April 2015Standing Charge: 20.85p per dayDaily Unit Price/s: Tariff Price (day rate): 12.3p per kWh (2233kWh)Tariff Price (night rate): 6.9p per kWh (2730kWh)Total Cost (annual): £539.15All prices displayed include VAT.

excellent.. makes it clear for us readers!
Daligas charges All kWh 3.3075pper kWh x 9000 = £297.67 Plus standing charge

Standing charge is 19.1594p Day X 365 = £69.93

Total = £ £367.60

So compared to EDF would be £110.17 cheaper.

I have switched from Scottish Power as my online tariff is coming to an end and all I need now is to find cheap Electric.

Might swap to Isupplyenergy they charge:-

Product Name: iFix 201504
Energy Plan Start Date: 01 May 2014
Energy Plan End Date: 30 April 2015
Standing Charge: 20.85p per day
Daily Unit Price/s: Tariff Price (day rate): 12.3p per kWh (2233kWh)
Tariff Price (night rate): 6.9p per kWh (2730kWh)
Total Cost (annual): £539.15

All prices displayed include VAT.
im trying to find there unit price but i cant find the info anywhere
Unit price is 5.57p per kWh including VAT. With EDF mine is 4.244p inc VAT plus £95.81 a year standing charge. So my break-even point between EDF and Equigas is an annual usage of 7,200 kWh per year. I use around 9,000 kWH in my flat living on my own, so this alas is not a deal for me. But good for those using less than 7,200kWh a year if their current supplier's rates are at a similar unit price and standing charge to mine.

If you use 900kWh per year you can save over £100 if you switch from EDF to Daligas.
EDF - 9000 x 4.244p + £95.81 = £477.77

Daligas £367.61 for the year
Interesting, thanks.
