The Ebuyer Silver Digital Photo Frame is back in stock. I know this has been posted before, but they've been out of stock for ages because this deal is hot hot hot!

The age of digital cameras has transformed our picture taking lives, but it does have one drawback. Whereas before we automatically got prints to look at and share when we developed our films, nowadays our pictures are all virtual and therefore locked up in our cameras, memory cards and computers. The rise of the digital photo frame has transformed digital images from being a hidden medium to a live and dynamic performance of our photos. Now you can display not one, but dozens of pictures through a single picture frame.

It's considerably easier to use than battling with your printer at home to try and get a decent print, and the end result is far more vibrant and 'alive' than a dull piece of paper. All you have to do is take your SD or MMC card out of your digital camera and put it into the picture frame. On your desk, mantelpiece, bedside table, the wall, this digital photo frame will look awesome and ensure you never get bored of looking at a photograph ever again.

Features / Specifications: Display: 7 inch, 480*234 Pixel TFT LCD * Supported Memory Cards: SD and MMC * Slide show supporting JPEG format * Supports a file size up to4MB * Features slide show intervals of 5s/15s/30s/1m/15m/30m/45m/1h * Buttons for easy control of all necessary functions * Easy operation without remote controller * Hook holes for application on the wall * Power Supply: DC 12V, 1.35 - 1.5A input * Accessories: Manual, Adapter, Stand

There were about 289 in stock when I started posting this.

how so low?
#21
free postage for me :)

Does this one have any internal memory, or come with any card, or do I have to find an SD card?
#22
Doesn't this kind of frame stretch pictures out, and crop the top and bottom of every picture?
#23
Cheap frames with poor screen resolutions, what's the point of having a 10MP camera just to display pics on a rubbish screen. Save yourself the disappoinment and get a Philips, they may be pricey but they have a market leading panel

You can have a 1mp camera and they can look good on a 6x4 frame, pixels have nothing to do with it as at this size most are not used anyway, for £24 delivered its a bargain and well worth it

Yep, they were about a fiver for a basic 1Gb card a couple of weeks ago on ebuyer.

I've got three of these frames so I am a fan...however, one big weakness is that it doesn't have an auto shut off or timer; it's not till you use it that you appreciate what a useful feature this is and therefore sadly lacking on th frame - something to think about...still, it is very cheap and a good deal tho I guess.

Got me one. Bargain!

Bought one for the g/f but beware - timing seems to be 10/15/20 seconds despite what the website says. At that rate I see it being distracting (planned to be on her work desk).

WARNING ! :x

I bought this exact frame about 10 days ago and a friend of mine ordered one the same day.

This frame refuses to display more than 500 Photos off of any media-card I have tried it with.

I contacted Ebuyer who frankly did not care a hoot but did offer to refund if I sent it back.

They told me there was zero chance of a firmware upgrade to fix the problem but if anyone has any ideas please do let me and anyone else who has just ordered one know the solution.
#33
meaning it will only display the first 500?
#34
Not really clued up on digital photo frames, so if anyone can advise, much appreciated.

Are these the sort of things that you can leave on pretty constantly, hanging on a wall or on the mantlepiece, or are they really basically digital photo albums (ie they go on once in a blue moon when you want to show guests your photos whilst sat at a table). Do they use a lot of electricity (an idea of the wattage would be great if anyone has this or another model)?

I am looking for a birthday present for my dad's 60th, and the concept I have in my head of a digital photo frame seems perfect, I just don't know if that matches the reality.

When I hear "digital photo frame", I'm thinking my brothers and I get together a collection of photos, digital and scanned images of old photos, put them on an SD card, stick them into one of these things, hang it on the wall, set it to a 1 hour setting and leave it on. My dad wakes up and goes to bed with a continuous cycle of photos hanging on his wall for his viewing and reminiscing pleasure, safe in the knowledge that the thing uses up no more electricity than an energy saving bulb.

Am I out of touch with reality? Would this ideal match a more expensive model but not this? How close can this or a better model get to that?

picked one up
cheers

They have them in black for the same price too.

oddly the white ones are more expensive.

white = ipod = expensive

Mine may well be going back.
#37

So tell me how you get more than 512 pics on an SD card? AFAIK its not possible and nothing to do with the picture frame, its a limitation of the file structure.

If someone knows otherwise, speak up, but I think your accusation of the frame is wrong.
#39
Just ordered one - thanks a bunch for the post:thumbsup:

Does anyone know if this automatically crops/zooms photos for display?
