Ebuyer - Hitachi 2TB Touro Desktop Hard Drive - USB 3.0 - Black £80.00

Calico2012Calico2012

Last months deal reduced to £80. I'd trust this over a Seagate!

You're right... a USB 2.0 would obviously be much faster.... and even if used internally, it would be totally useless because everyone buys 2TB as boot drives.... :)

Yeah, go for the CLICK OF DEATH drives instead :p

You already know that's a misprint, why troll

These are all 7200rpm drives same as the pro version with the rare version of a 5900rpm mentioned - only the pro version comes with 3tb of cloud storage.

It runs at 153/mbs read and write over my usb3

Hot from thee. It HAS to be better than Seagate, saying that, most drives are!

How times change, many years ago Seagate used to be the best (I think they did anyway).

Hmmm so based on other deals out there :

5900RPM Seagate Internal on for £80 at the mo is hot
This same drive minus the 3GB cloud storage for £87 is hot (you can get cloud storage for free so not worth it)

But this one is considered bad? How odd! Almost as if people vote stuff down "for the lulz."
    7200RPM + USB 3.0 + Reliability = hot

Still waiting for a decent price internal drive which I won't need to crack open, but this is tempting....

It has been posted hot several times as it appears in stock evry week at £79.99 on ebuyers outlet, so it may be that

You do realise the technical data and shop codes are all the same. Like when you get a mis-price on an item right across loads of retailers. Hitachi don't do a desktop external usb 3 with a 5400rpm drive.

What I did consider was that the reason they are all selling them cheaper is due to the fact that if both were sold as 7200rpm drives in the title, who woud actually pay the extra for the PRO version ?

Ordered at 19:30 last night, delivered at 17:20 this evening. Now plugged in backing up files silently
