Is there any reasons why this is voted cold? Is it too expensive or are some of you "cold" trigger happy? Thanks for leaving your comments at least.
You could save at least another £50 if you place the orders for the products over £30 separatley and use google checkout. You might have to pay delivery on some items but you will end up saving more.
The readyboost is a waste of money with 2GB, and the case might be a little expensive (although if you like the styling I suppose it's fine to pay a little more). Everything else looks good though.
Thanks for the hints... Hopefully, I hope to bring the price below £500. As a comparison, refer to Aria's Gladiator. http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Systems/Gladiator+Pandora/Gladiator+Pandora+HTPC+Vista+A3600+PC+System+?productId=26935
readyboost wont help....buy a cheaper case and get a better cpu...personally i wouldnt buy AMD at the moment...core2duos outperform them and are cheaper...from personal experience i always buy pioneer dvd drives ive used a few liteons in the past and always had trouble with them....the only worrying thing imho is the graphics card(?) on board graphics is only gonna kick you in the ass especially if you want it to process higher resolution or HD sources in the future
...core2duos outperform them and are cheaper....

Unless you overclock, you get the same performance at any particular price point. Of course, not overclocking a C2D is a total waste, but most people just don't want to.
I don't understand how this is a deal or is hot? Am I missing something?

BTW the nova-t-500 comes with it's own remote - although I don't use it as it isn't supported under Linux.
You could also save a tenner by buying this deal posted for RAM

It has the RAM for £49 - a saving off of your £61
AMD X2 3600 is not good enough if you want to stream HD content. My X2 4800+ struggles when i tune to SKY HD or with 1080p movies
Get this:

Overclock the crap out of it.

There is something wrong with your setup, providing you have a decent GPU you should be able to do Mpeg2 or H.264 with that CPU IMVHO
Points noted... I will scrap the readyboost feature.. What kind of Video cards do you propose?

Silent, and onboard H.264 decoding.
stick with the case it is excellent, have built a few round it,nice lay out quiet fans, you dont want a piece of junk under the telly.tho you must lay out on a decent heatsink and fan,amd stock are far to noisy for living room.

or an alternative if your using onboard vgu look up mozart sx.very slim and has vdu plus remote for about 120.

build the system you can update the gpu anytime
antec fusion is a really good case, i agree!
