Why on earth would anyone want a 14.1 inch monitor?

This is smaller than most laptop monitors and I would imagine is almost unusable.

I know it is cheap but if you hunt around you can find a 17" TFT for less than £70.

Although this is small, it still does 1280 x 800 resolution, and uses very little power. Ideal for mobile use - car, boat, caravan etc if hooked up to a mini pc.

Also useful as a monitoring station or for people into home automation.
#3
Why criticise? Some people may be short of space or may just want a small cheap compact monitor for their home server!!

For less than £50 when you go through Google Checkout, what's wrong with that?

These days people must be used to small screens with their Mobiles!!

It could also be used as a secondary display to monitor your connection.

I had an old 14" monitor before that I used beside my primary display to always have an eye on my file transfers (network and P2P), it saved me a lot of window swapping. I also used it a few times to copy text from pictures and to display the cheat codes for a game I was playing on the main screen
You could also put a movie on while you're chatting with friends in the other screen, or have your spreadsheet or presentation open to have the figures for that Word report you're working on, etc... Just use your imagination!

All in all, lots of possible uses really, and one might not want to cash out more than £40-odd for such a basic use.

Great offer, voted hot.

almost unusable guilbert?

Will make a nice secondary monitor for those using Pinnacle editing software and don't like the tiny preview screen...will need an appropriate graphics card though i.e. twin output.
#8
Its a decent enough monitor and runs at a healthy widescreen resolution - voted hot. Would be good for a budget vista build.

Loads of uses, of the top of my head;

Buy two for a super compact/mobile video edit suite (needs two monitor ports of course).

Revive the ole Dreamcast in the spare room that you kept so you could play Shenmue and all those other VGA compatible classics all over again (with a VGA adapter), it even has little stereo speakers!

Keeping an eye on your Torrents/P2P (as Kiddson said), or even WoW in windowed mode, so you can, uh, 'work' on your main screen.

Photoshop palette screen - all of them open all the time!

Widescreen combined with a good res for it's size just makes it that little bit more desirable, remember that Resolution independent GUI's are around the corner, so tiny menus and cursors will eventually become a moot point.

These are great little monitors.
Friend bought one a while back - its a glossy screen as well. Also rather sharp given its resolution and screen size.
