Worth listening to Echoes (the track) just to see how close it is the the main theme from Phantom of the Opera. The Floyd always maintained Andew Lloyd Webber plagerised it but couldn't be bother to sue!

I Never knew about about Echoes Track ... Meddle is my fave CD.
I've heard that some people think there is a connection to the movie Wizard of Oz & Dark Side Of The Moon.
There are loads of references to the film and vice versa in listening to the 2 together

Echos - possibly the best song ever by Pink Floyd
#5
although lets be honest - why anyone would buy a greatest hits album of one of the best albums bands ever is beyond me - the songs are best heard as meant, by their album in toto.

It's called Dark Side of the Rainbow and works. The connection is a bit loose at times, get baked first and it works a treat (apparently)

Because this album is like a concept album - its been sequenced by long term Floyd collaborator, James Guthrie and all members had input with the choices... its a very good compilation, even for Floyd fans who already own the main albums.
