Multi-tasking has become a way of life, but sometimes your PC just can't keep up with everything you want to do on it at the same time. The AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core processor enables true multitasking - taking computing to an all new level. Dual-Core technology is like having two processors working together, each one taking care of different applications. So now you can simultaneously burn a CD, check e-mail, edit a digital photo, and run your virus protection - all without slowing down your computer.

To protect your computer you've installed all the latest virus protection and firewall software. The result? Your PC is safer but slower. Upgrade to a computer powered by the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core processor - now you can run protection programs in the background while a second runs the applications you want to work on - making computing fast again.

I have bought lots of things from eclipse, but all components and blank media and no complaints. I usually recommend them for that. But personally I would not buy a PC there as I know lots of people who have problems from their purchases.

I have been on the look out for a base unit for a few weeks now and time is getting short, I looked at the eclipse site as it was recommended by a friend who bought a system and was very pleased but now you say this I am having second thoughts, the other company offering basically the same deal is Puterz Ltd, any idea about these.

Could get one from dell with an o/s and higher spec for this price (see MikeT's posts today).

Seeing as they are just down the road for me, I have bought a lot in the past too, (and waited for hours to get stuff returned also!) I can't remember the last time I did buy there though, as price wise, I can almost always beat them elsewhere now, unless I want it today, and the same applies to this.

Todays' Dell posts from Mike-T are better options for budget PCs
