Maybe goos for a mash tun conversion for any all grain homebrewers thou hard to tell thickness of the cool box walls.

For £20 it might be worth a punt.

Funny you should mention this, I actually bought one on sunday for that purpose.
The coolbox has about 5mm of polystyrene insulation which is loose in the walls with a fairly big gap to add extra insulation but the great thing is if you look underneath there are a few Philips screws holding the inner to the outer.
I just unscrewed them and lifted the inner out and added an extra load of insulation (carpet underlay and silver cooking foil) to the existing polystyrene.
After a 90 minute mash I lost less than 1 degree.

Same here. Highly recommend the silver-backed bubble wrap available at Wickes etc.
Cheaper quality than Coleman etc. but for this price it does the job! No drain plug which I think makes it easier to add your own tap rather than modify the existing setups.
