Ok after the amount on R4 thread being created which aren't great deals but still seem to be voted hot here is a better flashcart for a better price. Pricess are approximates. Delivery time from my experience is ~10 days.

There are two options. One with packaging and one without (slightly cheaper). You really don't need it but it's up to you.

With: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.10919

Acekard 2 is agood shout, just a matter of opinion really. However DSTT isn't even on the same level so you obviously don't know what you're talking about.

EDGE might be slighty dearer than some other card on there but it is a very reputable and reliable card.

I don't know what I'm on about?:? I was merely stating that you can get other cards for a cheaper price, no need to be so rude man!

Sorry don't mean to be rude but that's like saying a car posted at £1000 is a bad deal because you can get another kind for £600. Even if it's a better car.

Like someone said to me, why not post a thread for the Acekard? Then users can post their opinions and the buyer can make up their own minds. I guess that's the best way to get around this R4 dominated community.

p.s. thanks to those who have voted hot.

i have an r4 4 dstt 2 edge, the dtts is the best bang for buck in my opinion.

i like the packaging on the edge although the elastic band thing got flicked at the mrs but card wise to me they are pretty much the same.

dstt were 5 quid each

Fair enough, may I ask why?

My little sis has the DSTT and I find the EDGE better build quality and the interface is far more attractive and more user friendly.

How come it's expired already :s

dont know why it is expired but once it is in the ds then that is it for a few months so as long as the build quality was better than the r4 then it was good enough.

the usb adaptor on the edge is better but card wise i find they are pretty much the same.

it is only my opinion of course.

I've had several R4's in the past for friends and family, all still going strong, only drawback at the time was 2gb card limit.

Have also had several DSTT's, again for friends and family, all got 4gb cards in and all still going strong (not bought bigger cards as some of them have 100+ games on so didn't think it necessary)

Only ever had 1 Edge card and it didn't work, at all!!
Was obvioulsy a duff card, it got returned and was exchanged for DSTT's.

Personally only buy the DSTT Advance at the moment, just find the build quality and design of the card better (memory slot on side of unit).

All IMHO of course.

I've purchased scores of cards in the past few years - m3s, r4s, Edge and DSTT. Since DX started selling DSTTs I've gone for them, they've been consistently cheaper than any of the other cards and out of the 20 or so I've bought only 1 has ever had a fault. Do other cards have a nicer interface? Sure, but nobody has ever complained about the DSTT interface. Lets face it you only need to use it to choose your game, it's hardly Windows vs OS X!

Well usability is obviously an issue. However you want the cheapest card and you don't care about how it performs then I'll suppose you will go for the DSTT, R4 etc anway.

Who would have guessed the inferior and more expensive R4 would get more heat than the cheaper and superior EDGE :-D
#13
Ackard is decent enough. The DSTT is simply not in the same league as the Edge. Edge is far superior card and less chance of fake. Search for forums and see how many of the DSTT(and clones) have blown the DS fuses. Yes, I'm aware the genuine DSTT are supposed to be fine, but from DX and other chinese sites, you simply dont know what you're getting. You dont see that with the Edge card (or Ackard) having same issues. I'd rather pay the extra few pounds to be safe.

Personally I think the Supercard DS one trumps all these "pretenders"

Down to $13.17 and £11.93 for the compact pack. Should be atleast another quid cheaper, never seen it that cheap.
