Great film, much better than Tom's last scifi film Oblivion.

EoT was too similar to many other films; Starship Troopers vs Matrix vs Source Code vs Groundhog Day. Felt a bit disappointed coming out of the cinema

Much preferred Oblivion to this, good twist & epic soundtrack.

thought it was stupid relied too much on cgi that didn't make it any better

Don't really think this is a deal considering it's the base price for a new Blu-Ray.

Excellent film and one which I saw some of being filmed locally! No spoilers but the old house isn't far away from where I live and while driving I stumbled across a couple of external scenes with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt in (which featured around the same time in the film) being shot a little further away.. :)

PMSL….How could you workout the plot twist that his wife was pregnant before the film's story began????????
The only clue is in the epilogue voiceover!

You should definitely check it out. Oblivion was more a traditional hardcore scifi, and Edge Of Tomorrow is more the mass market scifi.

Hate to break it to you but there were multiple plot twists through the story. Like Vikka knew the truth before he did but lived in denial.
The scavs. Radiation zones. Or that his clone knew to expect a baby when searching for them, which would have been impossible to know.
Oh and the fact that both Tom and Joe said it was the main point of the protagonist's motivation.

But that's ok, I know what you mean, it's not a plot twist because you didn't spot it.

Did I spot those plot points, yes. I was trying not to give too much away; spoilers.

But let me explain my thinking.

Vikka living in denial; because it was a lie. (clone with memories)
Scavs being alien invaders; because it was a lie.
Radiation zones; because it was a lie.
Baby; because it was a lie. Okay baby not a lie but, Tom was the lie (clone with memories)

Vikka+Scavs+radiation zones+baby= Lie, which = plot twist about Sally.
side note about Toms motivation, they were all clones, thus had originals memories (baby)

not a bad film only ruined by the fact they tow a caravan around the top gear track i.e. the airfield in Oxfordshire.

Not that it matters but simply as a FYI, the Top Gear test track and studio filming is carried out at Dunsfold Aerodrome, not far from Godalming in Surrey :)

Seems to be talking a teensy bit of poop. And doesn't understand the meaning of a plot twist. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plot_twist
I particularly liked the bit about the surprise ending that makes you reevaluate the entire preceding events like a character's motivation.

Just to spell it out for you. There's even a double bluff scene in the film where you think they've had sex but haven't as it IS a plot twist.

Please feel free to back track and spin as you have done through everyones posts.
