For those interested it has 4 x 100 Mbit/s ethernet ports.

Why are modem routers with wireless N and gigabit LAN so rare?

Freezing cold without better deal? Or is 4 x 100 Mbit/s ethernet ports an issue?

To be honest i am not bothered about ethernet ports at all.

Aria sell it for £49.28 as I found using a quick search on Google Shopping (Froogle) - http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Network+Products/Wireless/ADSL+Modem%2FRouter/Edimax+Wireless+ADSL2%2F2%2B+Modem+Router+150mbps+?operation=shoppingCartAdd&productId=39983&context=

I hadn't previously voted, but now voting cold cos I've just wasted a couple of minutes of my life.

Even with dual channel Wireless N you are looking at real world speeds below 100Mbps so Gigabit ports are not much of an advantage. I have a similar Edimax Wireless N router with Gigabit ports and I only get about 80Mbps at close range (even though it shows as connected at 300Mbps). Good price for a modem with Wireless N unless you go for a free option such as BT HomeHub 2.
