The guy said it's normally £21.99 a month but three are doing the same deal for £9 a month and they're stealing EE's customers so they've had to match it minus a penny

I would imagine this is a retention offer from EE so for existing customers only.
#10
Thank you. Will aim for this rather than switching to 3
#11
I got it 9 quid a month It was a retention deal
#12
Deal needs to state it's a retention deal for existing customers.

Just rang EE and managed to get £9.99 for 4GB, 12 month contract and includes tethering which the 3 deal doesn't. 2 weeks ago they wouldn't offer me anything.
I also got the 3 deal for my daughter which seems excellent especially with the cashback if it arrives.

I just got the same deal too. Thanks OP!

Does the EE retention deal include 'double speed' 4G?
#16
if they had offered this to me I wouldn't have gone to three. told them this on the phone, and again when they called me. I was asked to do a survey when I left to find out why I left. looks like I'm not the only one that left for three.
I must say though, Three has been just as good as ee so far.

Ring 150 from your mobile and follow the options for thinking about leaving EE.

Thanks for the heads up OP. My wife's contract has expired and we were looking to switch to Three or the BT deal, so will give EE another call just to see. Already have PAC. Ignore the cold votes as this is really helpful to the niche of people it's appropriate for. :)
#23
Can someone post a link here to the 'three' deal please?

Your friend would have to call EE and request the unlock. You can ask o2 for a PAC and tell them about the 3/EE deals who will prob match.

As a first smartphone, switch your data off when not using it, use the app background settings too, easy to run up a large bill with data when a smartphone newbie ;)

Personally I think this is a great deal shame it's 12 months or I'd have gone for it. Currently on EE and contract expired so might request pac see what happens.
Torn between keeping my iPhone 6+ & going sim only for another year or grabbing a note 7 or s7 edge.

Can you phone abroad and is it there best speeds
#27
I've just switched to this from £11.99/month (rolling contact.) I'm more than happy with speed (Double speed 4GEE) as I usually get around 40Mb/sec locally and have achieved over 70Mb/sec in some areas. I think at this price it's a no-brainer if you've already got a decent handset and are eligible. I was told they had to match 3 after a couple of days of their £9 offer or face losing customers in droves!

Free calls home from abroad included apparently, although it's of no use to me.

Thanks OP - why is this cold!!
I was out of contract with EE paying £16 ish. Unlimited mins and texts 2G of data. So contemplating three.
Saw this and called EE after the "chat" they offered me my current deal for £9.99.
I told them what you had received OP and they matched the deal. For me and my daughter.
Cheers

Got the deal for £8.99. Many thanks for sharing op. Also got 6 months free Apple music and 6 months BT Sport. But must cancel in 5 months time or will be charged.

Edited By: brandlew on Sep 25, 2016 21:39: More added to the deal

Don't know why this has gone cold. Just done this for my wife and got the deal. You have to mention three. This includes roaming and tethering.

Thank you to all thanked me and I'm pleased that I've helped a few of you out on here.
I don't know why people have voted this cold because I thought it was a brilliant deal.
