I believe this deal is for existing EE data SIM holders, as I just received a txt from EE which reads:
Hi [Name], as you're enjoying your 4GEE Data SIM, why not crank up your data allowance by moving to a 12-month plan. Get 64GB data for £16.10 a month. Call to discuss: 08009563104

I took out the rolling 30 day data SIM contract that appeared on HUKD of 32gb of data for £14.50 which became pretty hot.

For an extra £1.60 to get double the allowance albeit at the drawback of locking in for 12 months seems fairly reasonable....

my ee contract is upon renewal soon and tried the online chat to discuss possible offers but no luck no offers or whatsoever even I've mentioned some offers people have got and posted in here. Will try to call them again

Tried talking to EE they dont have this deal available

I've just called and they said that they have no such offer and it may be a 3rd party offer. I also have the 32Gb data sim.

EE said they would only honour this price if you can show the text, i am on the 32gb plan but no text so tried just using the info on here but no dice they wouldn't budge on current price.

Watching with interest, I too am on the £14.50 for the 32gb and will jump on this if it's possible
#9
Still no Dice from EE, is there an offer number to quote or anything?
#10
No such offer available when you speak to online sales?

Thanks for the info. Apologies, was unaware of any possible exclusivity around this deal (other than holding an existing data SIM contract of course). I've uploaded a screenshot of my SMS thread for EE (it's not house kept as you can see) to allay any potential doubt as to the deals' authenticity.

Hopefully the SMS will start to trickle through to people gradually. Also just wondering if there may be an 'inventive' way you could provide "proof" of the SMS to EE to take advantage of the deal.....? (Just thinking aloud... 8)

Save the number of your mate/mam/cousin/stepdad/wife/neighbour/parole officer in your phone as -EE-, get them to send you that text, word for word.
Job's a goodun ;)

I wonder if I threatened to cancel, unless they offer me more data/this deal, would that work. That could backfire though as I don't want to cancel
#18
Hi, is this a data-only deal (if it eventually actually works of course). Thanks.
#19
I've had the same email this morning.
#20
Is there an email doing the rounds as well?
#21
I`d still be happy with the old deal :)

Did the text go to your data sim, or another sim on the same account?

If only they could offer something similar to PAYG customers, any shouts?

I took the 32Gb deal and I've been sent this text and email.
I'm going to take EE up on their kind offer. ^_^
I'm sad and I watch K-Dramas at work, 64Gb is a lot of drama at 360p. ^__^

Good question! Should have mentioned that.... It actually came to my Personal Mobile contract number and NOT my data SIM number.
However my two accounts are linked under my "MyEE" online account.

So maybe if you haven't added both your EE (Mobile and Data) contracts to an online account or if you have an EE data SIM only, it might be worth logging in to check your txt messages on your existing data SIM number.

Correct, DATA SIM only it seems.

This deal is definitely real. I was one of the first to phone, I was advised that somebody has made a mistake and the deal should have been £26.10. After speaking to his manager the deal was honoured and I now have 64gb. The threads above are correct, I had to send my email on to the advisor as proof. I have a mobile router, am not sure if it is exclusive to mobile devices only (excluding phones)

I too received this text message from EE on my 32Gb data sim, rang the number provided and spoke to an EE rep. He stated that the offer should have been 64Gb for £26.10, but someone at EE has "cocked up" - "we will have to honour the offer" providing I sent a copy of the offer message.

I should be upgraded to 64Gb by this time tomorrow at the latest!

Ok, so have just taken out the deal myself, here is how the conversation went and what I found out:

Spoke to a lovely, really helpful Welsh girl. She said the phones have been going a bit mad with the deal and there has been a lot of confusion (on their part) as the call center staff were not briefed on the deal before the txt's went out to customers. She even said they were all laughing about the deal when the first calls came through as the staff thought it was too cheap to be a genuine deal. An assumption was that it was some kind of third party that was offering the deal.

I started by reading the txt out to her word for word and I was NOT asked for proof of the txt

She then advised that "management had gotten to the bottom of it and provided a 'workaround' on their systems". (It sounds very much like there has been an admin error of sorts although she did not explicitly say this).

She said the original price was £29 and they were able to offer a 10% as standard bringing it to £26.10. She then had to apply a manual override of some sort to discount it by another £10 to bring it to £16.10 (she was mumbling in a narrative manner on what she was physically doing on her system, which is how I know).

Sounds like the 'left hand' now knows what the 'right hand' is doing at EE cust services so everyone should have more success if they try again now.

Can't fault their customer service at EE, very pleasant to speak to and made the changes to my contract within minutes after reading the usual legal waffle stuff. Very pleased with the deal.

Just stuck my data sim in a handset and the text message came through straight away so you might want to try this.

Called 150 (from my other EE line) and explained the text message. Got the "it's a typo" and should be £26.10 however they honoured it and it went straight through. Bargain, very happy. Cheers OP !

I'm currently on the offer from last year of 50gb that works out at around £24.75 per month... might try for this great deal, but I'm sure this was 12 month contract which I think still has a month or 2 left to go, so bet I won't be able to change onto this deal :(
Q: can someone please tell me how to read messages that get sent to my data box?
The symbol lights up with the message icon but it never duplicates to my mobile number so I can read it on my phone?? thanks xx

Log into your mobile router at 192.168.1.1 and your password, you should then be able to read your text messages
