I'm probably being a bit dumb here but will this work in an unlocked E586 mifi, allowing me internet access on my laptop/tablet?

Any disadvantages compared to the 3 prepaid sims?

It should work if it's unlocked, I got this last month and just put it in my phone few days ago for a trip to Glasgow. LTE worked fine and got 33mbps download speed, miles better than my broadband speed.

Does it work in a phone and allow phone calls as well then ?

The sim comes standard sized but the gold chip part can be popped out making it micro sized for use in ipad mini etc so fits everything !
#7
iPad mini takes a NANO not MICRO

Ok, so this works on the ipad? There is another 4g sim for the ipad but its 24.99. If I buy this then it will work on ipad as well?

Nope, after you activate it the allowance is only 6gb of data.

can anyone help... thinking about getting a nexus 7 wi fi only model, can I put this sim in and use it with the nexus 7, another option would be to purchase a Huawei E5776 - could I put the sim in there?

any help is greatly appreciated... thanks
#13
Nexus 7 wifi only means you cannot insert a sim card. It will go in a mifi.

Mine wouldn't work (unlocked Huawei E586 Mifi) gave EE a call and they told me that my sim had been expired since July!!!
Have to now hope Prepaymania CS is not as bad as I've read. They claim they will send another next week.

Oh joy I look forward to trying mine. Was planning on keeping mine for emergencies for when I can't get a 3 signal (as I work away often).

Did it have any date coding on sim/packaging?

I didn't look, sorry. Such was my frustration in knowing APNs etc were correct, no connection and having to relent to phoning them. In complete honesty, I was very much of the opinion that the very helpful phone representative either had a sterling professional attitude, or this was not necessarily a surprise to him?
EE were quite incredulous to the inquiry lol.
All of a sudden, I has having conversations not about my frustrations, but where did I buy it? That it was system expired in July, is not the end of the world. A little bit dark if others complain of the same?

Thanks. Just opened mine and it looks like it possibly has a date code on as it says 0313 on it after the details. What number did you call EE on as might phone them up before I even bother opening it.
#24
Yep mine doesn't work either! Also says 0313

Phoning EE was not what I call a joyous experience. In the end, after looking on their web page, I just phoned their broadband number and had them put me through to the right dept.
Stupidly, the daprtment you need to speak to is only (apparently) accessible via dialling 150 on your EE handset! I am not best suited to this level of 'apparent' ineptitude.
