the problem with EE is, they wont give anything if you want to become a customer. pay them stupid amount for for literally no data for 6 months, and then they will give you 20 gb for £15!
#3
I got the same deal the other day. I think it's worth mentioning that the data, texts, and calls are usable anywhere within the EU without any extra charges. That was the deal breaker for me...
#4
I got offered the same for £8 a few weeks back.
#5
I've just done this - was paying £34/month previously (included phone)
As they consider this an upgrade, you can do it 45 days prior to your existing contract ending.
For me, this meant my last 1.5 months are at £10.99 instead of £34.

EE nooooooooo way not again

Just phoned EE retentions and quoted the plusnet deal for £10 on Martin Lewis website and with no haggling was given unlimited calls, texts, and 4gb data for £9.99pm .Also the unlimited minutes , texts and 4gb of data can be used when you are in Europe to call the UK. so no charges to phone home. I thought it was a good deal.

Avoid at all costs if you ever want any customer service. Website useless and WORST customer service

wow...and they said to me on the phone they cannot do anything better than £12.99 for unlimited calls/unlimited texts/2GB of dat, to keep me from switching as my contract is coming to an end. Bravo EE, bravo! oO

Told me the same deal but at £9.99

Called up cancellation, told them I was out of contract and that I would be shopping around and asked what was the best deal they could offer. Also got offered this deal for £10.99, should also add that data and minutes can be used in the EU. Also BT sports is added to this plan for the duration of the contract.

Was on a £10 month rolling plan.

I got this tariff on the Max plan (which incl allowance to be used in Europe as well as BT Sports subscription) for £8 per month as a retentions deal. Was also told I'm entitled to take out another new line with the same deal.

Was that recently, or a while back. I'd go for this at £8 and get my wife on the same plan too.

I negotiated my upgrade with EE around 6 weeks ago.

My pitch was to benchmark them with this deal:
http://www.mobilephonesdirect.co.uk/shopping-basket?/cache/basket/add/sim_only/pay-monthly-three-micro/three-4g-10-unlimited-e-12-4gb/free-delivery/cashback-by-redemption/index.html/add/sim_only/pay-monthly-three-micro/three-4g-10-unlimited-e-12-4gb/free-delivery/cashback-by-redemption

Here is more discussion re the deal:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/three-sim-only-unlimited-min-texts-4gb-data-10-8pm-with-cashback-mobilephonesdirect-2547965?page=2

There were offering a standard tariff so I had to push them to offer the deal on the Max plan which allows use in Europe and free BT Sports for 12 months.

If only :)

Just called retentions to try and get a better deal with my current £21.99/month 10GB end-of-term contract having gone up to £22.26 as it is (this was actually a good deal a year ago, but not compared to the offers floating around now), and they were very reluctant to do anything at all. After a fair bit of cageyness (I compared to a 3 deal and was told - alright to be fair she had a point - that 3 are cheap because they're crap and to basically get lost with the unfair comparisons) I was offered the same for £18 if I committed for another 12 months and I said I'd think about it. In all honesty I'd want an better deal if I'm going to be tied for a year, when there's a £14.50 32GB data SIM doing the rounds!

Web chat / upgrade team couldn't do any better either.

Wonder if it's better to call them towards the end of the month when they're starting to feel the strain of targets, it could be that it's the beginning of the month so they're not as easily to haggle with?

Phone retentions and ask for your PAC code the number you need to transfer your mobile number to another provider. They then know you are serious . If you don't transfer the number within a month you stay on same deal. I did this 2 years ago and within 2 days of asking for my PAC code I had a call back from retentions asking why I was leaving and gave me a good deal to stay.
#19
We'll see. Just called them again and was asked why I'm leaving, they wouldn't budge at all no matter what I (politely and well mannered!) threw at them, and gave me my PAC. I think that £14.50 deal is on until about the 7th so they have til then if they decide to call. £41.88/year is better in my pocket than theirs.

Haha £18 for 2gb is pretty poor for me as an existing customer. EE retentions offered 10GB for that.

The £14.50 data deal though is what prompted this. My reasoning is simply: I very very rarely text or call. I could walk away with my PAC, put it on giffgaff temporarily, get this deal, and port back. This would save me £3.49 a month (hey, it's a pint!), I'd have more data than I know what to do with, and I'm only tied for 30 days. Yet even if I tell them this, the best they're willing to offer is £17.99 for 10gb and unlimited voice and text.

My argument is that I'd be willing to pay £15 (50p more) AND commit myself for 12 months, AND sacrifice 22GB, AND save us both the hassle of disconnecting me and setting up a new contract, in exchange for a few texts and minutes (10 of each would probably cover my usage!)
Am i just being greedy? The logic seems sound to me!
But "computer says no"...

Edit: Learned something new about the data sims, they're not provisioned for certain things like wifi calling or 4G calling. I still find these nice to have, so this makes the data one less attractive.

Ah stuff it, EE wins. I'm worn out, my time is worth something too. For the sake of £3.50/month I hereby throw in the towel and commit to another 12 months. It's still a pretty decent deal. Maybe there'll be better in 12 months, maybe by then we'll have the full force of Brexit upon us and be paying 3x as much...

I got this deal on 17th Mar (£9.99 ult mins, ult texts, 4GB data, 12 months SIMO) on retention on one of my low use numbers. It is a 4Gee Max plan with full EU use of all allowances.

I got this deal a month ago with BT sports app too free for 12 months ,you can also get 1000 mins with same other allowances for £4.99pm. Good deals by going through to retentions and being serious about cancelling and always quote another providers deal.

Yes indeed. I have a total of 4 numbers (one of these was a new number rather than an upgrade) on my account...all with the same contract date..so they were all part of the same negotiation. Ended up with:

2 x upgrade £15.99 (ult mins, ult texts, 15GB data 4Gee Max with full EU use (12 GB EU data). Plus I then added my EE home broadband 5GB databoost to both these (I have three landline EE accounts)..so ended up with a total of 22GB data on each of these contracts. The reason it is 22 and not 20 is because of the way additional data is added by billing...they had to do some manual overrides which resulted in a total of 22GB. Plus BT Sports for 3 months.

1 x upgrade £9.99 previously posted (ult mins, ult texts, 4GB data, 4Gee Max plan with full EU use, plus BT Sports for 3 months). I then also added my third landline 5GB databoost to this to make it 9GB data in total.

1 x new line £4.99 (1000 mins, ult texts, 1GB data, normal 4Gee plan (not Max).
