Got one of these, over the phone, on Monday evening for my son, as a price match to the recent Virgin SIMO deal.

Then grabbed another one for myself last night, as an upgrade from my legacy T-Mobile SIMO.

Not sure if it's available to everyone, but worth a try if you're in the market for a new 12 month sim only contract.

I was also in an EE store this morning and the assistant claimed I could've got it through him too.

Been trying to haggle with EE past few weeks as a new customer willing to take out three new sim only contracts like this but they won't budge on prices.

It's normal for ee to not discount anything for new customers, but you will get 10% off your second and third SIM if added to the same contract. The good deals will come next year when you're out of contract.

trying to get a new line, but ee won't give any decent offer. 2nd line options are just so costly!

Got this deal last night. I just went to cancel my sim only deal with them saying I was going to Virgin Mobile and they price matched it straight away.

I tried to haggle this deal as a EE customer with two contracts but they refused. Went with the BT one instead.

Same deal was offered to us to match the Virgin 20GB deal. Couldn't get anymore than that so went for it. Looking to combine with a new sim free device.

Mrs has all 5 phone numbers on one contract, EE unwilling to upgrade phone, without paying extortionate monthly payments. so SIMO deal was next best option and she did it all by herself ;) 30GB Ultd mins and texts BT Sport tethering all for £21 4GEE :p Even better than Virgin media deal

Dude... London (well, Wimbledon)... EE 4G MAX... 40mbit.

Not bad, but not anywhere near this good. In Holborn I once got 80mbit. Yes the phone is capable of more.
I called EE to complain, and they told me it was my phone. Without saying which phone I have, I said ok which phone would get the full speed? The operator then listed a bunch of phones, mine included.

Including home broadband or just 4g (out of curiosity).

Haha typical EE customer service. I'm in South Croydon and get around 22mbps on an iPhone 6s+ EE extra

How do you guys go about getting these deals? Ask to cancel your contract? Or discuss upgrades?
1 Like #22
Can confirm this works. I had 1 and a half months left on my 24 month contract, rang EE and said I'd cancel and pay the early termination fee and move to Virgin Mobile. They price matched the Virgin deal there and then and waived the early upgrade fee too! £14.99 per month then for unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, 20gb of double speed 4G data, and 500mb of EU data. So it's actually a bit better than the Virgin deal and a penny cheaper! 12 month contract though.
#23
I called them today and they offered either 20GB with unlimited calls & text + 500mg roaming for £15 or 15GB same as above but with roaming (incl the 15GB throughout the EU for £16 ... Both with BT Sport (1 year) and Apple Music (6 months)... Any advice? Someone managed better?

I got the same offer over the phone just now. I popped into a store this morning and the guy wouldnt even entertain the idea and said it must be a third party offer...which it isn't.

Just had 30 minutes on the phone to upgrades as an existing customer with two phone's on my account and they won't touch this deal. Very poor IMO and got my PAC Code.

Did you speak to retentions?

Waiting for them to ring me back, he said they couldn't offer anything better than what he offered. POPPYCOCK

I'm just on chat with EE to cancel th sim I ordered yesterday. I don't think it's right that those leaving should be offered the deal but those wishing to remain are not. Especially as Virgin are offering similar
#31
Didn't even ask why I wanted to cancel! Just ' I have successfully cancelled your order'

Upgrade (or downgrade, whichever way you look at it) My 24 month £30 for 4gb contract had just ended
#33
has any new customer managed to get this deal by any chance?
#34
I tried few times no budge :(
#35
I just rang retentions as my contract is up. Best offer I got at £18.99 for 7gb. Blah. Although I'm technically a T-Mobile customer currently so I don't know if that makes a difference. We'll see.

Got my PAC, ready to shop around. It's a buyers market.
#36
Also got my PAC Code hoping retentions will ring back with a half decent deal, PAC Code valid for 30 days but as Ribs85 states its a buyers market so sat here tapping my fingers.

No dice. I can't get this until March when I'm due to upgrade. Deliberating on whether to pay off the remaining early termination charges which is roughly £28 and get this now OR wait few weeks and potentially risk losing this deal..

You can call 45 days before the end of your contract.

Yes I know that but you miss my point! Just wondering if this deal still be available when I can upgrade next month..

Thanks OP, a great deal. Just got this, the EU data roaming will come in handy!
