#6
i wouldnt hold out much hope of any stores having any stock left come the weekend...good deal though...heat added

Hot if true. Make sure to check the tins for where the Tuna comes from. Seychelles stuff is alot nicer than stuff from Ghana.

The price of £2.69 is 'half price'.... from tomorrow they will be BOGOF but they have forgotten to update the price I think! If not then great deal but the £2.69 half price deal was a con so either way Tesco are naughty :whistling:

The Tuna Police can't complain too much since it's certified Dolphin Free  Still, i'd get in quick - can't see this lasting too long! :whistling:
#15
Awesome! Sick of eating cheap Tuna, this stuff is much nicer!
#16
If its half price at the moment and BOGOF starts tomorrow the price will return to the usual price and not be as OP states.
#17
yeah think the price will go up at midnight really sorry guys, i will expire
#18
who wants to stay up til midnight to see if it does?
#19

It annoys me when the chicken police come on here, but I think I will join the Tuna police!!

Lets be fair tho guys, this sort of deal is silly cheap, considering one can is usually over £1 - There must either be loads of money in tuna, or they are taking the phish. All this kind of deal does is make you buy 8 cans of tuna, does everyone have the room for 8 cans? What if the customer doesnt want 8 cans. - I would much rather pay 34p and have the amount I want, but tesco doesnt work like that does it, they prefer to buy millions of cans and get the discounts from the suppliers, who in turn cheapen the fishing trade even more, thats without thinking of the stocks of fish in the sea. This kind of thing hurts every person in the line except for one . . . . Tesco.

Wise words indeed  but taking the ethics issue out of the equation you can get individual tins in Home Bargains for 56p all year round, and they still make a profit on that. So 50-60p is the market rate and these 'cut price'/bogof offers are simply smoke and mirrors buy the big boys ;-)

Dolphin Friendly label is a bit of a joke to make joe public think eating this tuna is ok. It should be MCS certified, but as this tuna isn't pole and line caught, and comes from seas where tuna is running out quickly it won't get the MCS label. I used to eat this stuff loads but read up about where it comes from, and how it is caught and won't buy it any more.
Get the MCS certified Albacore Tuna tins from Sainsburys instead.

Well it is after midnight and the price is still the same:)
#27
It's showing as £5.39 online now.

It was cheaper in Morrisons last time I was there £2.50 for 4 cans (Princes) or 50p per can for their own brand.
#28
or £4 for 8 cans in asda

I see your point but personally I DO want 4 cars, or 8 cars, or even 20. When I make a pasta bake I use 4-5 tins, it then does me 4-5 decent portions to take to work. I'd persoanlly rather they did much bigger cans for those like me who want bulk amounts.

Shame about the deal expiring, I'd have bought loads at this price, stocked up as I'm using around 8 tins a week at the moment.

I completely see your point, but there is one difference between you and most others. You are using bulk amounts, others aint. Tesco isnt a cash and carry or makros, but I bet they sell more of these things than the c&c's do. !!
