I'm after a small compressor for the garage, was going to wait for the £100 one to appear in Aldi again. But I am tempted to get this, the reviews seem positive also.

I'd like to add "King Dick" to that list, although might not be that unfortunate.

Hot on the compressor btw. Shame I have one.

Decent enough price but surely this was never £143!

Personally I prefer an oiled compressor as opposed to the oil free ones.

Cheap compressor, but low powered motor so not really suitable for tools that demanding constant high airflow e.g. die grinders, spray guns etc.

So this wouldn't be good for removing stuck on nuts/bolts?

I think this is just a cheap rubber diaphragm compressor, not a piston compressor, though the size of the tank should help but not for tools that demand a constant high rate of flow

You'd end up throwing them anyway. Buy what you need, not some random kit.

Can't see it mentioned what type of fitting the compressor uses. Amazon 'recommends' the standard PCL bayonets but the starter kit quite clearly has the horrible (imho) stubby versions.....

If this was about £140 then it is probably an alloy piston with a Teflon piston ring. You can run those for days as long as you keep the air filters clean and are in ventilated areas.

I've ordered one as at this price, it's worth keeping as a spare.

No specification on FAD but I wouldn't expect it to be much however a 24 Ltr tank is useful.

All in all, this looks like the best value compressor I've seen for a while. Postage isn't free though - £3.30 but it's still great value if it does what it says.

    Motor rating: 1.1 kW (1.5 HP) S3 25%
    Intake capacity: 176 l / min
    Tank capacity (Litre): 24
    Speed (Pump): 4,000 rpm
    Operating pressure: max. 8 bar
    No. of cylinders: 1
    Weight net: 15.7 kg

Looks like it has a cylinder, I also noticed the pump is rated in litres/minute consumption, not output - but for not much more than those battery powered tyre pumps I think it's a good deal and plenty good enough for light tasks, tyre inflation etc.

One thing to be careful of is the cheaper compressors often use metric pneumatic fittings rather than the usual 1/4" BSP stuff so you'll need a converter (couple of quid)

I've just remembered I have an Einhell 24v drill I bought second hand about 4 years ago, very well built and very powerful - it's lasted well and has more grunt than my Bosch mains drill - so don't be put off by the brand!

It would be fine for an impact gun; they have fairly high air consumption but you only tend to use them for a few seconds at a time.

Depends on how stuck they are!

It'll take very few seconds with an impact gun for the cylinder to need refilling and the pump playing catch up. This means you can use the impact gun for a 2-3 seconds, wait for the cylinder to fill up and use again. So it can be done but a bit of a pain - if it's just an occasional thing then no big deal.

It'll work with an air wrench too - a little better than an impact gun.

This thing does have its uses - nail guns (framing and brad), tyre inflation, bowing dust and dirt out will be fine.

High volume stuff like sanding, grinding or shot blasting are no go.

Great price I've been after one of the garage for a while and this is the cheapest I've found so ordering.

Cheers for the heads up OP

Looks like an expensive tyre inflator to me.. not really any good for paint or tools.

No good for spraying I'd agree, but there are plenty of air tools you could use with this.

I bought one of their petrol lawnmowers last year. It is a very high quality product. I can't speak for this product, but I am now an Einhell fan.
