personally i reckon sony stuff is over rated and over priced considering they user other people's panels in their sets and tart them up a bit.
Panasonic all the way, tho LG is a close second

Agree slightly, especially in their lower sets (Sony) however their higher end range are great. Panasonic though at high range are untouchable for me.

well since pioneer don't make tv's now you've got Panasonic, Sony, LG and Samsung and your major 4.
who would you spend your hard earned on and why?

LG aren't Lucky Goldstar anymore!

Panasonic, then closely followed by Sony, certainly for their top end gear.

I own or have owned 6 Samsung TV's/TFT's over the past 10 years, basically best bang for the old £££'s, LG have always been a consideration, but Samsung just pipping it every time, though if I had £3k to spend on a set i'd certainly be looking better than LG/Samsung this time round.

LG have followed Samsung into producing some outstanding kit. Time to bin the prejudices.

I wouldn't pay more than £1k for a Samsung eith. It's not prejudice, its called sense.

It's like paying £50k for a Ford. Nice cars but if you've got that kind of cash buy an Audi or a Merc.

no worries rep left its the panny vt20 for me

Need to find out if the black levels will rise fast like the other Panasonic plasmas do. They look great at first (and in reviews!), but after 1000 hours or so the blacks become worse than other manufacturers.
Thanks

any glasses?

It has 4 years warranty!
Yeah it's not very clear is it.

The glasses are listed in the description but it doesn't actually state how many you get.

I can assure you it comes with two pairs though :)

I think I may get the 63-inch version of this screen, just need to find out if it supports 1080p 120Hz stereo gaming first though (which I doubt it does).

Which features are missing
do u know if the picture is the same? ta

Not sure about the picture, I know theres no internet TV / No Ethernet or Wireless Slots on the 6 series + some other things. You will have to compare them on the Samsung website to find out all the differences. Also im not completely sure but i think the contrast ratio is better

would be a bad move, less features
