Quite surprised this hasnt been posted yet, but Lidl are selling 29.5L electric coolboxes for £29.99 from today! They are not a bad size, enough room for a good days food for a small family, tall enough to take a 1.5L bottle standing up, and with the benefit of having both 12V and 240V plugs build in, so you can use it in the car, in a caravan, chalet, etc etc etc. Perfect with the Bank Holiday coming up.

Plus, if you pick up the voucher out of the Mirror plus anything over 1p in price while in store, you can get a fiver off too. Picked one up this morning at Lidl in Rowley Regis, seems well built!

If you leave this or any other cooler plugged into your car overnight you'll be waking up to a flat battery

Yep, same as leaving your lights on.
So, why would anyone want to do that?

Wish I'd seen this a month ago when I paid £45 which I thought was a good price.:x

Details from the included paperwork;

Input Supply Voltage - 230V-240V AC / 12V DC

Output - 65W (@ 230V-240V AC) / 48W (@12V DC)

So, by reckoning (if I remember my Physics GCSE properly)......

Amps = Watts/Volts

So pluged in to a 12V DC supply, I reckon that comes to 48/12 = 4Amps!!!

Hope that helps :thumbsup:

Mines been plugged in my livaboard campervan continuesly since I bought it 3 months ago. With a voltage relay so it only runs when my solar panels or engine are charging. Keeps the beer and butter cool enough unless we have heavy cloud for a couple of days.
