Saw this in my local B&Q today and bought it immediately.
Nice stainless steel finish, with a mechanical timer and light.
Made by Cata and comes with 2 year guarantee.

Not seen this online, and may not be in your store but worth a check as nothing comes close to the price as far as i checked.

Is that a good price for a single fanless over or about right?

It's the sort of thing that I might buy if I was doing a house up to sell but wouldn't be much use in a busy family home.

Looks like a good deal to me! Cheapest stainless steel one in Currys is a Matsui at £179.99, Comet is a Proline at £147.19. Voted hot for that price!

where??

Here .... £59. And they have them in-store too.

But seriously, plenty of places sell them around the £90 mark if you get off the high street.

i checked everywhere local. nothing even close to this deal i posted. And suspect that £59 link is subject to buying a kitchen from them.

I bought the cata oven in 2011. In 2013 just before the guarantee expired the bottom element had to be replaced due to a breakdown. Last week after only 15 months the new element stopped working. On making enquiries at B & Q who sold us the oven we were told that Cata only guaranteed the new element for 3 months! How can they say the element may breakdown after such a short time. We were quoted £90 for call out plus parts and labour. More than the cost of the cooker originally. We obviously said no and went elsewhere for a new cooker. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS MAKE AND AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Similar to above comment year after purchase bottom element stopped working, after 5 recurrences of same probllem B and Q reluctantly agreed to replace oven.
However after oven had been installed I noticed that this too was manufactured by Cata and guess what after almost one year to the day the bottom element on this new oven has packed up as well.
Have contacted B and Q and am awaiting their respnse.

I moved into a new home - Cata oven. Diabolical - elements come on together , major temp diffetentia, burns everything , esp cakes. Spend more to get a safe oven that cooks food !

I fell foul to buying a CATA electrical oven....MY GOD ITS SO DANGEROUS.....PLEASE TAKE HEED TO THIS ADVICE...""""DO NOT BUY A CATA OVEN"""" I REPEAT """"DO NOT BUY A CHEAP INDIAN MADE CATA ELECTRICAL OVEN..........My landlady for obvious reasons bought us a CATA oven, after the one fitted in our pokey little kitchen packed up xmas day 2015, so my scrooge landlady bought a replacement just about after stating its fitted and your responsibility to buy a new one, so she got the cheapest piece of **** ive ever seen, and low and behold its smokes worse than a 1970s working mans club in Blackpool, the fumes are acrid, and it s because the element is not hlused behind steel walls inside the oeven, its the grill element used to heat up the oven and joints of meat spit fat on it, hence the house is full of black acrid smoke...................nuff said.............buy a quality oven, save yourself time, money and hassle .......Nyck 2016
