At J T F Deals it is the cheapest price available today is what matters.

it is an indicator of the price potential so I think it matters

A one off deal a day is hardly any indication of true value.
What is one supposed to do if one wants one today?

If the best price was under £30 yesterday - and today its £70 - I think I would wait until tomorrow.

If one wants one today - one could just pop out and vent ones frustrusions with one's Purdey on the local pheasants until the price returns to being sensible once more.

This little Electrolux model packs away like a cylinder but is used like an upright. Dust removal from carpet and laminate flooring is pretty good, but it doesn’t have a hose attachment, so vacuuming upholstery is completely impractical.

It is one of the few upright cleaners with cord rewind – a facility that adds to its compact feel. The handle also folds down for storage. The release button for folding the handle can be a little tricky, so you need a strong thumb to work it.

Capacity is small, so it requires frequent emptying. It also struggles to retain the smaller dust particles so it’s not the best choice for allergy sufferers.

That said, it is a good cleaner, and works well on carpet and laminate, though it struggles a little to remove dust from between floorboards. It makes swift work of removing pet hairs from carpet, but the hairs do get stuck in the brush, so you’ll need to clean it.

For an upright it’s incredibly light, which makes it easier than most to carry up and down stairs, but comes with neither accessories nor a hose, making stair and upholstery-cleaning almost impossible.

Pros: Compact storage, controls on handle, speedy pet-hair pick-up, good performance on carpet and smooth hard floors

Cons: Not suitable for cleaning stairs and upholstery, small particle retention could be better, small dust-bag capacity

Alternately it might be under £50 instore in Tesco - or a but less - but with postage here...

So colder than ones dangly ones while wandering naked in deep snow.

One of the worst vacuums ever made.

Made in Mexico for the Mexico market, Electrolux UK thought great Ideal and brought it in to combat the Dyson DC08T & DC11 when they were released.

When the Rep demoed even they said it was useless tbh, doesnt have a hose attachment or tools.

Apparently they sold very few and they even retailed it at 199.99 when they released it, must atmit I did laugh when they demoed it.

For the £40 we paid from John Lewis in April 08 we love ours - it is kept upstairs in a wardrobe, so we can give the carpets a quick vacuum without having to bring the big vac up the stairs - and when we do need the tools then we take the other machine upstairs. If cheap enough then it is worth it for the convenience - but £199 WAS A JOKE :p
