do these work with guitar hero too??

They do (though they only have 4 buttons instead of five, so the songs are altered to use only 4 buttons. The GH controller is therefore slightly preferred, but this is way, way cheaper).

According to this (http://uk.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=26596229) they will but you may have to sacrifice a button?

Oops should've read more, they will work and guitar hero automatically re-maps the button layout so you won't lose any buttons :)

These kits are so cheap now, I know that there's a second version coming but that doesn't stop these working.
If Joe Public sold one it would cost nearly £12 to send it's so bleeding heavy.

Good helpful post SecondNature08... 'liked' it.

Not keen on sacrificing that fifth button!

word of warning if you do buy these - you'll want something to cover the drumpads because, unlike the padded GH ones, these are rock solid and make a proper plasticky racket when you're hitting them.

And you'll probably want to buy a reinforced pedal cover too, cos the plastic pedal will mostly likely snap. I think I picked up a kit on ebay for about 8 quid which had 4 drum silencers and a metal reinforcement plate for the pedal in it. Recommended.

Didn't realise until today you could even get cymbals for these. Learn something new every day apparently!

You can get teh cymbals but they are a PITA to find for a reasonable price. They hardly ever come up in the UK and the postage from the US is crippling. £12 for the drums and £50 for the cymbals? Pfft.

I managed to pick up a set for £25 but I had to be pretty drunk before I commited lol!

This is a very hot deal, I would buy one of these if I didn't already own one.

As luck would have it I fixed my broken Rock Band Bass Drum Pedal only yesterday. There is a video on YouTube which shows you how to fix a snapped pedal with 2 butter knives and some gaffer tape, so easy to do well worth a look for the sake of 3 minutes if anyone else has encountered the same problem.

Is it possible to use these as part of a midi setup inputting to something like Cubase?
#14
If you look on gzoop you can get this for £9.99 with the code GZOOP3

I've got the guitar hero drums but it was before they fixed all the issues with them. Could I connect the foot pedal from the guitar hero drums to these drums?

ordered a set and silencers

drums due 12/7
silencers 6/8
