Does anyone know how responsive these pads are? Can they tell the difference between a light tap & full on thwack?
#3
Hot! Seems like an incredible price considering how much Rock Band was a year or so ago.
#4
Wow this is an amazing price
#5
Double wow!! Should I or shouldn't I? I have visions now of telling my boy to "Stop banging them drums!" Hmmmm

none of the Band/Hero drum sets are pressure sensitive, they either register a hit or not. Okay, with the exception of that really expensive set that you can plug into the PC and use as a proper kit.

Great buy. Bought mine for £15. Used a good few times, still do the odd time, well worth the money, great fun.

Took the voucher code but the price in the basket didn't change, tried to add it again but says a voucher code has already been applied and remains full price right through checkout?

The RB1 drumkit isn't, but the RB2 (only available as part of the limited edition Beatles bundle in Europe) drums are velocity sensitive.

Gameplay wise, this doesn't make much difference as the game itself only registers whether you hit it or not, but it does come into play when you use the drum trainer or the freestyle drum fill sections in songs.

I'm pretty sure that all the Guitar Hero ones are too (GH games with GH drums sometimes throw in armoured gems that only register if you hit hard).

I stand corrected then, what a waste. This is the most basic of the basic drum kits though. I've got one cause I never get around to actually playing it.

Hot Deal! This is very cheap to add a new dimension to Rock Band and Guitar Hero Games if you don't already own an XBOX 360 Drum Kit.

Tip: If you are using this with the Guitar Hero Games and your finding it difficult to get to grips with the Bass Drum Pedal or you've broken it, you can find Cheats on the Internet to unlock the Auto Kick Pedal Cheat. Just enter in the Unlock Code in the Options Menu and turn the Auto Kick Pedal On and you can then have great fun playing through Songs on Expert difficulty just using your hands.

Not really a waste, the times when you'd actually be using the velocity sensing are extremely limited. This set is very cheap indeed, it probably costs them nearly that just to post it to you, they must be trying to clear them out of their warehouse before RB3 arrives.

That's what I mean, it's a waste when they DO have velocity sensing.
