Wow, that's cheap! Just a word of caution though - I once owned one of these - don't get drunk with your mates and think it's a good idea to touch it with your tongue. It isn't.

looks a darn sight more durable than the 50p tesco regular swatter.. which braks a chunk off with eACH SWAT (EQUATING TO AROUND 5P PER FLY)

Why would you even think to do that lol

these are brill! bought 2 last year, great to keep them away from my indoor bunnies so they don't get flystrike. Have some heat.

i swatted a fly with mine and it made a crack sound and the fly caught fire.i think if you keep pressing the button or hold it in for a few seconds it gets more powerful.

1st time we used ours it stunned the fly, so we used it again and it seemed to resuscitate it cos the fly was up and about again! Resorted to 1 swat for stunning and then the good old fashioned newspaper to finish them off cos it seemed cruel when the sparks fly as the fly makes contact.

We found it quite difficult swotting the flies while in flight . Best to cover them with the racket when they land and then watch them fry and burn on take off . The charge isn't enough to kill them with one swat . But Man , what a crack and spark it gives off when you do hit them . They should make this an Olympic event

I wonder if it's possible to wire up the button to operate remotely - might be just the thing to put where my neighbour's cat [email protected] after killing anything it can find in my garden.......

Am I the only person who thinks it's cruel to 'fry' an insect?

Same way the stupid cashier said don't touch it they give you a right wallop - I replied the only thing I was intending to "touch" with it are the bloody flies PMSL!!

Then promptly gave it to the toddler to carry in the pushchair for me, she then gave me a filthy look, I was like steady on it's still packaged with no battery in it ffs some people are such an ****

Not as cruel as it is to buzz me for hours at a time before landing on my dinner grrrr. Oh and perhaps it's less cruel to smash flies against the wall with a newspaper smearing their bits all over? Personally I think the electric option is "kinder"

Marie try telling that to my neighbour...hes a 50 year old tiny chinese man and likes to jump round his garden swatting flies while shouting in chinese :) When they start to fly away, he turns his light on to lure more into the garden!!

I might get 2 of these and send my kids out to play with them in summer when the bickering gets too much :)

We got one of these last time someone posted, and its fabulous, i cant use it though as the noise scares me haha, but your meant to press the button when swatting, yet my cousin got it out the other day to use, didnt press the button, touched the metal and got an electric shock, confused.com do i have a faulty one haha? x

I hardly get flies in the house, but then again i only ever have one window open a tiny bit,i'd rather suffer with the heat than have flies, moths and wasps flying around X)

No, it just keeps going so it has longer to cook it.

These are good for tackling the plague of clothes moths around at the moment.

We open doors/windows to let them out when we can but with blinds, nets & voiles to contend with, it's not always easy. So we use all of the above as stated.

in stock in brighton. i looked everywhere before asking someone who said they had some in the stock room and brought out the box. i think they'll be on display upstairs as thats where all the summer garden bbq stuff is but u may need to ask.

That's the best party game I've ever played. Looks more painful than it actually is. Well worth a pound even if you never ever see flies. :p
