A twin pack of electronic timers - perfect for controlling those christmas lights, preventing burglaries by switching on lights, radio, etc to deter burglars or perhaps controlling the washing machine to take advantage of cheap rate E7 electricity.

Just £3.99 per pack of 2.
(was in B&Q at the w/e and noticed they were doing a deal on timers, £2.99 each or 2 for £5.00, but only had a 2kW switching capability - hopefully these will each switch 3kW)

Available at Netto from Monday 20th October 2008 whilst stocks last

The appear identical to the 2 I have, and are excellent vfm.

You can program up to 8 seperate on-off cycles, and also random ones.

They are easy to set up ,and BST can be done at the press one button to advance/retard the hour.

Heat and rep imo

The only downside is you really need to keep them plugged in continously, or the internal battery runs out and you need to reset the clock etc (many people have them in cupboards until holiday time)

I had a twin pack of these...didn't leave them plugged in between holidays and the internal battery has run out. Despite leaving them plugged in for a week nothings coming up on the display and they seem to have died a death....my twin pack didn't last a year.

Having said that when they were working I used them a few times and they work well.

If you still have the receipt or other proof of purchase, call them on 0845 6000200 and explain the problem. Thewy will arrange for a full refund. This product will be guaranteed for at least 12 months.

Having said that, are you absolutely sure you bought them from Netto? I'm not sure Netto have ever sold this particular timer before, especially as a twin pack?

I've used one of these type of timers for years and wouldn't be without it.

It switches on the side light in the living room in the evening and off at midnight. Just have to adjust the "on" time every couple of weeks to keep pace with the darker/lighter nights.

In the winter, I also set it to switch the side light on in the morning for an hour, so that I don't have to stumble around in the dark living room or suffer the glare from the main ceiling light.
