this is a HOT TV I am buying one, I have been following up on the price closely and it is a good time to Buy now !
Brabus, ignore the folks voting cold because they can't buy this and have grudge against sony no matter what ! We are happy with it and we buy and enjoy it !

Thanks Mate! I got this TV and run my pc, 360 and ps3 through it. Its the best 32" TV on the market. If the idiots out there want to buy a cheap rubbish LG one then let them.
why do you want to wait for couple of weeks Fanimal, try waiting for couple of years this might come in clearance in richer sounds for 100 quid? You are amazing, the price has come down from 900 to 638 ! If this is not in your budget then why don't you try a samsung or bush.

The 3-years Sony warranty is a joke (amazon & play.com). Read the T&C carefully. You can only make one claim within 3 years, plus you have to pay the delivery cost of the exchange set, plus you need pay least £4.50 for the delivery of your claim form to sony. For example, if your TV brakes down after only 14 months, you only get 2 months extra warranty for the extra £45 you paid.

You can claim as many times as you like in the 3 yrs under the Amazon scheme, however if a replacement is needed (A repair cannot be carried) then the warranty will end.
However the new TV they replace it with will have a 1 yr warranty with it just like any new item, so in theory if your TV blew up after 14mths it would be replaced with a new model and a new 1 yr warranty so you get a total of 26mths warranty and possibly a newer model TV.

Most warranties / service plans are like this when a replacement is issued.

They only ask you send the registration form off by recorded post for your own security as they cannot be held responsible for lost forms, I think normal recorded post is £1 or 60p more than standard post, there is no need for special delivery.

They do charge for delivery of the new item as this will come directly from Sony and they will charge the insurance company for this, this is usually £35.

If someone said to me 14mths down the road you can have a brand new TV for £35 or lose everything with no warranty I know what option I would go for.

Yeh i'm pretty sure that a three year warranty justifies the additional £40

Great price!

Only problem is with the retailer:
http://www.blagger.com/db4/company_id/1619/companyname/Electrosaver.html
http://www.avforums.com/forums/general-chat/443747-electrosaver-bradford.html

Seems they like to take your money and not deliver.

Thanks for this. I will stick to Amazon.

i just want them to announce a package with MGS4, dual shock3 controller and 80gb backwards compatible..
When they do i'll finally convert over to PS3
ludichris;2528176
Excellent! go well with the panny!

Rep added!

Just an educated guess - the 40gb has been around for ages in Europe as the only machine, but US and Asia also have an 80gb version. They've also recently launched the dual shock controllers and have some excellent exclusive games at the mo

edit: and MS have just announced a 60gb 360 for the same money as the current 20gb:

good price , cant find cheaper on a wide search of av sites. good reviews on amazon from customers.
but if your looking for quality trust panasonic over sony for tv's ... actuall top 3 in order seems to be pioneer , then panasonic , then samsung.........some av forums dont sing the sonys performance to well.
Same TV (silver?) is deal of the week on Play at £499.99 and you get Quidco.
