This is totally pointless for PS4 And Xbox one, and expensive for previous gen recording
#2
That depends how long you want to record for. PS4 is limited to 15 mins and Xbox One I believe is just 5 mins recording, with the Elgato you can record for as long as you want and edit the videos on your PC/Mac.

I never realised this, i take back my original post then. Around the same price as the hauppage but slightly better reviews.

I would call this hot! Best video capture on the market - at least the reviews I've seen.

Price gone back up to £121.24 now

This was about 80 or 90 quid at Maplin recently. I think.

I got mine for 90, and did see a preowned one for £60 in game, really need to use mine more....

The quality of the recordings is far better than the built-in facility, and the editing process is far more manageable on a PC. I see people complaining all the time about missing moments as the consoles failed to record.

I agree that it's expensive and, if I didn't already have one, I would make do with the built-in facility until there is an Elgato 2.0 that records 1080p at 60fps as YouTube will support videos higher than 30fps soon.

*edit* Just noticed you took back your original post. :)
