Be warned, this isn't a very good game. I say that as a fan. A mile wide and an inch deep meaning the only reasons to do anything are to increase your rank or gain money but you've got plenty of ways to do those. Then throw in some half-assed features like the 32 person multiplayer and there's plenty of reasons not to buy it... at least not at full price.

The recent PlayStation magazine comes with a free soundtrack for the game. Have it on Xbox and really need to try putting more time into it.

I played the original vector graphics version when i was a kid and it still remains my favourite game of all time , this game is so vast and it's continually evolving and getting bigger all the time , the graphics are awesome too . How anyone can say it's not very good baffles me , i guess it could be down to personal taste but what exactly do you want from this genre of game . There aren't many like it and it's definitely the best of its kind .

The net worth of this package is approx £50, so a £13 discount is good. It has a steep learning curve but I've been playing it for over 17 months now and no other game, but your mileage may vary.

Yeh not sure why this is getting the cold shoulder? PS4 hate? Elite hate? Its a good price imo. I have been looking forward to this game for a long time. I totally understand why it doesn't appeal to everyone. I've played the combat training demo on PC with a DS4 and it plays fine and that's without all the context sensitive controls we will get on PS4.

Total packaged worth, then ;-)

On the Xbox, the base game is £20, the Horizons DLC is £20, and the points are £10.

Elite on the Spectrum is one of the best games i ever played, and i managed to get Elite status - have been waiting for this for what seems like and age so cannot wait to get stuck in again - not a bad price too but will wait to see what the Canadian store charges...

Sounds like someone who only played it when it first came out and never went back.

Never played it but since it's bombed in price and sinking without trace I'm not too bothered :p

Seriously this game is EPIC. It's more like a space life simulator, old school game properly executed. The atmosphere that it builds in game in excellent especially the sound.

Lot of young players wont get it to be honest because of all the FPS games and the trailers to over "actionise" the gameplay buy you can do a lot of different things and swap between them and leave the game for months, come back and it still feels fresh and nice to be back in the seat again. Does take a lot of time to play but play it well and you get a lot of enjoyment out of it.
