This just looks incredibly dull and repetitive.
S'pose a tenner for that kind of experience isn't so bad.

Time for me to upgrade to Horizons, I think - even if the game is coming to PS4 next year. Cheers for the heads-up!

I think I like this game but ain't got the foggiest on what to do to progress. I somehow managed to buy an auto dock thing for my ship which is cool, but trying to find trade routes hurts my head!! Please help!!

hmm, after the disappointment of No Mans Sky I was looking at getting this. is it any good? and is it worth it for the £20 version?

I have pc version, really enjoy it. Updates over the years have added content (combat also harder nowadays). PC version plays well with moonlight and trinus over Google cardboard, almost made me splash out on a vive.

Gutted you can't import pc progress to Xbox, was about to purchase as my gaming pc is at work now.

Horizons Pass alone is also on sale for £10. Which is great for me and others who have the base game already. Now if only they'd put the damn Witcher expansion pass on sale...

How long does the season pass last for ? and do you get the Horizons feature as a permanent add on or does it only last as long as the Season Pass , Cheers :D

It's really, really good, IMHO. I've not played NMS, but from what I gather ED has a lot more depth to it. Unlike NMS you can't disembark from your ship, but like NMS the game is a work in progress, and there are some very impressive features (like FPS on-foot combat) in the pipeline.

The season pass is permanent, as with the vast majority of game season passes. The only reason they're called 'season' passes is because it was a piece of pre-existing terminology from sports etc. In the context of game expansions 'season' doesn't imply temporary.

I backed the original kickstarter. I really should get round to installing it.

I've only got 80 hours or so, I find taking missions that involve blowing up x amount of ships the best, or buy a scanner and get your ar$e over to the nearest conflict zone. Having a wingman is a huge help!

Shame on you 'non-installers'! Just got my PS4 and I can't wait for a crack at this. Despite poor reviews, bought NMS secondhand (well, used once as they all tend to be!) to try and fill the gap. We'll see...

Right on, Commander!

Great spot, was considering buying the Core at £20 anyway, so £20 for Commander Deluxe Edition has sealed the deal. . . only 24 hours left on this by the looks of it.
#31
I bought the preview version a while back and spent hours on it.
Not touched it since it was officially released.

Its amazing game and worthy of the Elite name... but its just too damn big.
#32
This is a game that's right up my street but I have banned myself from buying anymore games until I clear my backlog. Good deal though.
#33
can you pay this against your friends online?

Shame you can't get the voice packs on Xbox One, Kate Russell is a big fan of the game (has books out about it) and includes it in her seminar speeches.

LOVED this on my Acorn Electron and then Commodore 64 back in the 80.s - Not brilliant graphics back then but that did not matter at all, you could play for weeks and months not like the 9 hour games now

Wish this was on the PS4 :(

30+ years on from my ZX Spectrum days, of screwing my eyes up to manually read the lens-lock protection, I may have to have a look at this one again...

Hot because it's Epic, Hot for nostalgia and last but not least, Hot for the price.

I had this on the Amstrad cpc 464, cracking game at the time, i think 20 quid might be price that pushes me over.

Me too. Just paid the £20, simply because I feel I owe David Braben several drinks for contributing to many hours of childhood gaming.

Can anyone confirm if the full 1000 is obtainable without the DLC? I always said I'd pick this up if it was a tenner!
