I can't stand companies who build sytems like this. Great CPU and plenty of memory, yeah, but when it comes down to the bits that matter (but that the great unwashed don't fully understand), they skimp. The 8500GT is lousy for games, and 250GB? £20 extra would've bought double that. It's just corner cutting.

Youre one of the lucky ones ;) Im sure they have lots of happy customers, its just I used to recommend them to friends, but since reading so much about them being terrible I stopped. My friend ordered a PC and they were rubbish - didnt take calls, they said theyd call back and didnt. Just my 2p, and everyone elses -

The kind of system i'm looking for, but don't need the monitor and was after a 768mb 8800gtx card, when you configure without the monitor it takes off about £90 including VAT which seems ok, but when you add on the 8800gtx it adds on £330 before VAT, which, considering you can buy one of these cards for £300-£330 with VAT and the saving of about £50 for the 8500 card you won't be having installed in the system seems a bit expensive.

Voted warm for the spec and price quoted.

You can customize this PC so you can make it better like what you've just said.

I bought a Mesh system 8 years ago and it still runs XP fine! Customer service is nowhere near Dell's, but not terrible.

What a ridiculous statement!!! At some point price has to come into the equation and its quad core 6600 for under £700.

I tried to build this from parts and couldn't get to a total under £700 on a like for like basis.

Decided to chance my arm, previous MESH been pretty good and customer care always acceptable.

Upgraded the card to 8800GTS 320mb and a 22" monitor for £939. DinoPC were over £1000, evesham have gone into administration, Novatech couldn't get close and I couldn't build it for less...........what other option does one have!!??

People only tend to post bad experiances. You'll always find bad reviews of companies as big as mesh just because of the volume of sales they have. If only 1% of their customers have problems, its alot of unhappy people. the vast majority of happy customers dont post any reviews.

Good deal. Voted hot

1) people dont moan about having had good customer service, they don't go out of their way to tell people about it either.

2) You CANT build this for near the price they're selling it. The markup on individual componments these days are far higher than what the OEMs buy/sell them for, anyone who thinks otherwise is simply wrong and is living in the dark ages of the ninetys.

I had a spec from Dell for £725, but riddled with problems so am at point of cancelling due to Dells cr*p customer service (even though they provisionally offered me 10% off - not confirmed yet).

I was hoping to change loyalities from Dell to MESH, but not sure if case of "out of frying pan into fire".:? Need to do more homework !

MESH quote £980 :w00t: (as close as I could match to dells)

All my Pc's used to come from Dell, but can't believe how bad their customer services have become, particularly at returning your calls/emails within a reasonale amount of time.
