It's the mouth. It's just wrong looking.

oO Looks OK to me, and she is such a sweet down to earth girl........ love her to bits x x x x x <3

I think one of the main problems I have with her and her contempories at the moment is that their music is all so bland and dull.
Her, Sam Smith, George Ezra, Ed Sheeran etc. it's all dinner party Muzak that makes Dido seem edgy.
I'm 40 years old and should be shocked by what teenagers are listening to same as my parents were when I was younger listening to rave and grunge and theirs with the Beatles or Elvis. Not want to get a M&S meal deal, a bottle of prosseco and invite some friends over.

Good album but I think these 99p deals are starting to repeat themselves as I got this a while ago along with the likes of ELO.

At least you got there first this time steffy2u.

Agreed as noticed a few that came up in June. But tbh I find it useful for the 99p albums to be listed as I never usually look in the play store.

And yes finally got there! 3rd time lucky. X)

I'm guessing this is for itunes ? If so, I have no idea. Sorry.

1. Purchase the music from Google play.
2. Go to your music on Google play and hover your mouse over the album art until three white circles appear on the top right of the album art.
3. Click and select download.
4. Once it has downloaded, open iTunes and go to the top menu bar - across from the little apple at the very top left corner of the screen - click file and then click add to library.....
5. Select the file from downloads and open it.
6. You can now addd to to your iPhone iPad etc......

Also, Windows users - When you import to iTunes, make sure you put the download folder into your music library on your PC before you add to library. Sometimes iTunes will get confused if you put the folder in later or delete it. So put the folder into your music folder on your windows pc first then add to iTunes. If you run into trouble because of this issue, just click locate the file when you try and play it and then goto the folder you have stored it.

If it downloads as a zip file, make sure you unzip it, mac OS X does this automatically, not sure about windows as I've gone mac and not going back (_;)

Ellie Goulding sings, writes her own stuff and is a multi-instrumentalist, how is that anything like any member of Girls Aloud?

I'm a 42 year old male and I really like Halcyon Days, but each to their own.

Indeed, can't stand Ellie Goulding but no denying it is still a good deal :)

Yep, Ellie is far more talented than a lot of the other artists in the charts and she has a great voice. Can't see anything wrong with buying this album if you're male and over 40, unless you worry that by doing so you won't conform to a stereotype and become an individual or something g terrible like that.

Why are her looks relevant? Show us your photo so we can judge you. I bet you'd love that wouldn't you.

I think it is more a case of being over 30, male and getting introduced to new artists by the likes of 6Music.

Kudos to Ellie Goulding for forging her way from a small Herefordshire village singer/songwriting her way into a record deal.

Main problem I see is her record deal. Corporate labels that put ££££s before the music, teaming their roster of artists up with hitmaking producers to cowrite the most bland Radio 1 focused chart crap that has you grinding your teeth upon hearing such compressed and autotuned nonsense.

For anyone over 30 that likes female artists that actually have the freedom of artistry check out the single from the forthcoming album by Nadine Shah - Stealing Cars, currently being plugged on 6Music....honest, natural and definitely not honed to pop marketing crap.

Good shout. Not heard of those, but do like 6music. Will give them a go. Haim are not bad, at least there's a bit of guitar riff going on. Ellie is very bland, not my cup of tea but good luck to her.

I've bought this at 99p, but the cheapskate in me is always disappointed that these 99p deals (including the Album of the Week ones) never seem to include the deluxe editions. This "normal" version is missing 6 tracks from the deluxe edition for example. Mind you, this album's got 3 versions with an increasing number of tracks, so the bitterest people would be the original "Halcyon" purchasers (13 tracks...still surprisingly being sold by Google Play and for 2 quid more than the 27-track deluxe version!).

Them? Nadine Shah is her name, Stealing Cars is the song :)

Linkage

Sounds a little Anna Calvi-esque, a little PJ Harvey etc etc.

This might be the first 99p album I've seen posted on HKUD over the xmas periold. Not because I have anything against Ellie (can't say I know any of her tracks) but these 99ps are racking up and I've not listed to the AC DC one yet :(
