Good price edi! :)

HotHot

Don't forget 720p is still excellent on a TV this size
#4
Good find there edi, 37" for less than £300 - nice :)
#5
is that a rebadged hannspree??
#6
Yeah it looks exactly like my Hanspree 32".

Same specs also. I'd say it's rebadged.
#7
looks like my hannspree 32" to me
#8
Yup, thats exactly the same as my 37" Hanspree. I think its a fantastic TV, especially for the price. I use a Humax 9200T for freeview, so i'm not too bothered that it hasnt got freeview built in. Hot!

I have actually got this TV. Bought it for the price advertised about 2 months ago. Great TV and excellent service from eBuyer. Ordered it at like 11pm on a Tuesday night and was delivered 11am on the Thursday morning using the super saver delivery option for £5 if my memory serves me correctly.

Don't take any notice of the negative comments on the reviews section on the site because for under £300 for a HD TV at that size, you can't ask for better quality. Definitely worth it in my opinion

Bought one from Scan Computers last week as Ebuyer had none in stock. Can't fault it so far especially for the price. Mine's hooked up to Virgin :)
#11
Will this TV be suitable for Sky HD?
#12
Would someone that has one of these be able to measure it and post its dimensions?
Thanks,
Andy

Will this TV be suitable for Sky HD?

In one word yes!

Sky is 1080i (which the tv supports)
BluRay is 1080p

1080i is 540 picture sent twice then interlaced (hence the i)
1080p is one image sent (p for progressive)

1080p is 4 times clearer with more detail than 1080i.
1080i is closer to 720p for picture. But the 720p is better for sports and fast movies as no ghosting images will appear or blurring of images.
#14
will this tv give a worse picture than the 32" Toshiba Regza just posted? (http://hotukdeals.com/item/417676/toshiba-regza-32av615db-32-inch-hd-/)
#15
For any N.Ireland people looking at this, it's mainland delivery only unfortunately.
#16
Just bought last week from ASDa direct http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/408085/elonex-37-lnx378bb-hd-ready-lcd-tv-/
£303 delivered. arrived a week late but very happy with results, only gripe.. as mentioned previously on Hotdeals virgin+ doesn't have a code for Elonex (or Hannspree) so virgin volume control stops working when switched to HD...aint no thing!
I would recomend!
p.s. for LCD novices this 37" takes up considerably less space than my 32"JVC tube
#17
what resolution will accept via VGA?

Looks like a great value tv for gaming.

If only I hadn't just spent all my money paying off my impending honeymoon...

Believe me, if it weren't for this honeymoon I'd have the entire house kitted out in rather large Pioneers!!!! (however I'm sure the missus would have the house kitted out with new sofas, floors, kitchen....etc instead!)
#21
Get rid of the missus now and save yourself a shedload of cash...

In fact I should make that a deal and post it - Ditch your woman - become rich!! Would be hotter than teh sun in a matter of mins, although this may melt the interweb....

hmmm to post or not to post..

great deal,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The price is actually £294.76 because although it says free delivery there is actually a delivery charge.
I rang up to ask and it's to do with the weight.
A bit naughty as on the lising page of the web site it actually says free delivery next to the TV.
Still a good buy I guess.
But I hate those little tricks!!!!!
#26
I thought 5 day delivery was free.
#27
Great price but there's a massive jump in picture quality / features if you can afford an extra £100. If you can't, buy this!

I've got the 32" Hannspree and it doesn't have a headphone socket. I assume this is the same.
#32
make sure your digital / freeview device etc has a headphone socket...problem solved !
#33
No Headphone socket but AV out

I think the picture quality is superb, not sure i could justify another £100 except for a 1080p upgrade perhaps. It does seem to take a while for the LCD TVs to bed in for some reason, I am convinced the picture quality is much better now than when we got it (about 2 years ago perhaps). Perhaps i'm just used to it, but it definitely seems better.
#36
"Analogue tuner ONLY" poor deal in MHO. Sorry cold for me
#37
I personally don't care if it's only analogue tuner.
#38
what happens when we all go digital. does it mean that another electrical item will have to be connected to it?
