Does it come with an HDMI cable in the box ?

Very good deal.

Also play DIVX and XVID.

If I inserted my memory card with high resolution photos, would I then be able to see them displayed in high definition? I've had my 50" Sony Bravia for over a year and yet to see any high definition on it!

This looks like what i've been looking for. Although rayman says Eltax is "known around the world for reliability, credibility and innovation" i've never actually heard of them.

Does anyone know if the divx version can be updated with a firmware update?
Also does this have long filename support? Or is there a limit of a few characters?

The phase "known around the world for reliability, credibility and innovation" is from the Eltax website. I never heard of them either. I doubt they come with hdmi cable as with all value divx/dvd players!

The Philips DVP5060 support long filename with custom firmware with High Resolution JPEG playback.

This item's still there, but now down to £32! Less, if you use Google Checkout. I'm tempted to get one myself. Thing is, these aren't Eltax anyway. They were a batch that were done for Eltax but the order was cancelled so Eltax don't warranty them. EBuyer do. Hence most of the listing now referring to it as an EBuyer player.

A few questions I have about this is, does it resume discs? Can you put in on standby and come back later to carry on watching the disc you left in? And how does it handle NTSC discs and DVDRs and scratched discs?

The link you've used above shows this is older than your post? But it doesn't matter there's now a newer one :)
