Thanks for putting this up, was getting a bit frustrating ploughing through the 1402 inputs and trying to get people's thoughts on this. I ordered mine when I failed to get the £99 offer, seemed like a good deal as it would have cost me about the same to get win7. And the wireless keyboard and mouse make it better if the box is attached to the back of the tv. I did the next day delivery but now have to wait for my tv to arrive before I can check it out!! If anyone has already got one, can you give your thoughts please?
Yeah, same thing for me, got this in place of the other offer and though still not 100% sure, I think I wanted windows 7 which I'd need a new license for and the extra oomf makes it a good deal... so long as the Mrs. doesn't find out I spent the extra on it ;)

I did actually try installing xbmx live to an old laptop, but the lack of card ment running in linux didn't work so well and setting up through that was problematic for me not being a linux user, whereas with windows 7 it's a doddle.

The IR recievers that come with keyboard and mice don't work in the same way and remote controller IRs do they? I.e. couldn't use a xbox remote or logitech harmony with the receiver that comes with this?

Cold, The £99 was far superior, who wants to pay £100 for Windows 7 when most get if for free.
It is only a little better than the £99 one (yeah I know that is gone now), I think you are really paying for win 7 and for me that really isn't worth the extra

So where can I get the Windows 7 for free? Isn't the processor better on this one?

And where is that one now? There were only 60 availible and only a few got it. This is still availible and this site doesn't deal with piracy regarding deals, most people have legitimate copies of windows! Fair enough if you don't think it's a good deal, but reasons are ridiculous.

The lesser emachine had been listed at £200 a couple of times in the last few weeks and reached hot tempretures, just because there was a deal that you THINK was better than than this (despite not being readily availible) does not make this a bad deal
I still think this is a good deal, but contemplating canceling my order. I currently use a Popcorn Hour A-110 in the living room and thinking that for a similar price I can get a A-210 which will prob be more user friendly with the Mrs.

Anyone know whether the emachine would be much faster running xbmc compared to the A-210 running YAMJ/Oversight? Reall can't make my mind up as some extra features of a PC would be nice, but I only really want this as a media streamer and the fact that it can not be used with the Harmony remote and has to be turned on like PC I think will ultimately drive me mental.

Any thoughts?
Better than this version of the £99 one imo:

Feck off, troll
seems like a better deal to me. Dual core, more HDD space, wireless keyboard and mouse and windows 7. I'd take this anyday as it seems like no messing round with having to upgrade the OS myself. and saves me buying a wireless keyboard and mouse. Heat added.
