Sorry to side track from this deal, anyone ordered this eMachine on the Monday deal actually has their order confirmed please? I've received a stock warning email from ebuyer and when I checked my order, it says "Not Allocated", I've already left an eNote with eBuyer, but no response yet.

Thanks in advance.

Hot btw!

You would get a better response if posted in this thread. Have noticed few people got them delivered.

As far as I am aware, under the Sale of Goods Act anything that is purchased must last for a reasonable length of time.
My question then is thus; is it not reasonable to expect this (or any other) computer to last for at least 3 years ?
If it is then this is worthless.
If it isn't then perhaps this isn't something people should be buying.
(Incidentally, I bought one of these machines the first time ebuyer were doing the £99 promo).

I see your point, but this is still an electrical item that could fail at any time. I wouldn't rely on Sale of Goods act getting you 3 years on a computer, 2 at a real push and you'd probably have to threaten them with legal action too.

I just look at this as peace of mind for the next 3 years. If it starts smoking behind the TV, or the HDD pops off, it's only a phonecall to the warranty company instead of an argument with some customer services gonk and threatening emails or letters.

I think this is a great deal. It's not simply 2 extra years warranty, it's collect & return as well. I've just bought it anyway.
