On the same level as Acer and the like.

E-Machines are now owned by Acer, same build quality. This is real good bargain for anyone who wants to web browse, do their homework etc. Forget it for games but hey at £299 it's a steal. Hot

Hot from me, don't know what people expect for £300 considering you getting windows 7.

The build quality will probably be a little ropey and no the processor is not the fastest but for most users it wont be a problem. The CPU will be fine for web use, office and the like. The GPU will take care of HD video, flash HD by stream and even transcoding using stream enabled applications.

Don't touch E-Machines, I purchased one through the company I worked for and it was a nightmare. I purchased a media centre with 32' LCD television...E-Machines ended up going burst (or at least the Corp division) and wouldn't honour the warranty etc, the company I worked for ended up footing the bill of all the machines as no other company would take on the repairs... AVOID!!!
